Getting involved in the new Homegrown DVD project

but I don't understand how you can't mention the company you are in contact with
I know a lot of entertainment companies here and how well they are so a name would be helpful for everyone's cause...

Please can you tell us the titles of some these films....

and I think even if this movie dose get made its going to suck hard... it truly is a bad idea all round when you think about it.

I'm not about to lsit what companies I do business with. For all I know you guys would email or contact the company and talk shit. There seems to be a lot of negativity on the board and I don't need any problems.

The PR guy just started working for me since I released 101 Reasons not to be a Pro Wrestler. The past production I worked on dealt with no PR.

I actually think the concept for the DVD is really good, and I've spoke with other people in the DVD distribution side of the business and they are the ones that pushed this idea to me saying that this is how it should be made, with each group having their own 10-20 minute section and feature a lot of groups.

Wow, big deal.. How much cut of your profit did you offer? If you didnt want to be looked upon as dodgy this wouldve been a good start.


Press releases mean shit. 1000's of press releases get sent to media companies everyday about shittly little productions. It doesnt mean they have to do a story on it nor does it mean its really newsworthy. In terms of internet publicity? What? Posting on forums?


Sorry, I dont really see the connection here. We are not asking for your contacts or to disclose details of the deal, we are just asking the company name so we can form an opinion of the type of companies you may have on board for this. What is the name of the company, its no big deal.

And you call me paranoid? Why the hell would anyone do that? Gimme a break. We are not asking for all the people and companies you deal with, just the name of the Australian one so we can gauge what type of companies you may have helping you out on this.

After I start editing the production, I will tell you the name of the company in Australia. It seriously has nothing to do with anything right now other than a possibility that the company can help out the production a lot if they find it to be a good production and they take interest in it.

I've already said what I think of this guy and his deal.. Its no suprise. I dont reccomend anyone dealing with him.

But if they are I want to make sure that you're at least going to get looked after a bit in the deal.

Just to put the questions to rest about the company in Australia. It is Warner Bros. They can also possibly help with distribution in Europe if they take a strong liking to the production.

In terms of the internet and publicity, the DVD would be promoted many different ways. From my previous experiences one of the best ways to get the word out about a new DVD is to send copies to all the big DVD review sites. This brings in a lot of business.

Now I don't know if you guys would approve of this or not but I was thinking to include 1 backyard wrestling group in the DVD so that I can get the word out to the online wrestling community which is probably around 1.5 million readers at least. The backyard fed that I'm referring to has some really crazy footage. They would wrestle with electrical barbed wire or have a kiddy pool filled with razor blades, lime juce and salt and they have a ring filled with leeches. If you guys didn't want this footage in the DVD then I understand that but I figured this would be a good way to appeal to the wrestling audience as well. Press release can help but they are not my main priority. I'm not hyping the DVD by posting on forums. Trailers for the DVD would also be posted online and that would lead to people talking about, helps the DVD get attention through the net and people that enjoy the trailers will post the link everywhere on the internet. These are just a few ideas.
