Ok, a few questions.

Are you allowed to film police, I was doing it last night, just them driving around. and he came up to us and was real pissed, like fuming. He told us we have to turn it off or he can automatically take the tape. Is this true?

Do you only have to give your name and adress? Because this guy was asking us some bogus as questions...? What are the only things you have to tell them?

He made porks call him sir, surely you dont have to do that? And I was laughing, and he told me to stop right now...

Do they have to have a search warrant to check your car?

Fuck I had one more but I forgot.

they need a warrent to search your car, unless they smell alcholhol or weed, but they can't open your trunk or glove compartment if locked unless they have a warrent I think

the one about calling them sir, they can't do that I dont' think you can say what ever you want to them though as long as you say "I think..." before hand

for example

"I think your wife sucked my dick last night while iwas drinking your beer"

or

"I think your a porker"

Thats one thing that I fucking hate about cops, most of them think they own the world and can tell you to do whatever they want

well this doesnt help you but I know some of that shit in american laws
yes u can film police, and they cant take it unless its evidence of a crime.
you dont have to answer anything. just hand them your id.
you dont have to call them sir
and searching your car is kinda complicated one to answer, yes they need one unless they have probable cuase, but if not they can hold u there for a while and get dogs or look in through your windows n shit for anything illegal.

Cant help you with NZ law...but for Americans...

The Fourth Amendment has two clauses. The first states that people have a right to be protected from unreasonable searches and seizures, and the second states that no warrant shall issue except upon probable cause.

Probable cause is where known facts and circumstances, of a reasonably trustworthy nature, are sufficient to justify a man of reasonable caution or prudence in the belief that a crime has been or is being committed.

The 1st Amendment protects your right to videotape law enforcement and authority figures. Law enforcement will often try to intimidate and/or persuade you not to film and this is illegal. All you have to say is "it's my right to film". I'll post a video of a cop trying to intimidate me.

Its my understanding that what you say can be used against you once youre place under arrest and theyve read your rights. If they do not read you your rights, what you say will not be used in court.

To answer your question, you dont have to say anything if you have a State ID. You just hand him that and say 5 words, "I have nothing to say". Thats it.

If you dont have an ID you ought to tell him your name and address and basic info. Otherwise I believe that would obstructing justice.

If its a minor thing, your best being cooperative and apologetic. Being silent may motivate him to bring up some bullshit charges just because you pissed him off. In most cases, they like to give just warnings. Writing a ticket or arresting you over a minor crime isnt quick and easy for them. Its a big bitch. For one, they have to write up a full and thorough report about the incident and shit like that. They only go out of their way to nab you for stupid shit when you piss them off.

But if he wants to talk to you reguarding a Felony crime its best you exercise your rights and remain silent. Cant really talk your way out of that type of shit.

I wish I knew more man and was more positive, but I stopped doing research over a year ago and im not as sharp as I used to be.

If its pubes.... you could be charged with sexual harassment, disturbing the peace...ect Assault would be a hard push being there was no intent to harm the person physically.
