Can we see some of your videos?

EDIT: ok so please tell me the videos on the link on your profile are the "amazing footage" you keep talking about...please.

I've got so much good stuff I don't know where to start.
18 ton round flattenem stones. (and two smaller ones)
Dinosaur skin find and a couple other dino expeditions.
Hawk hits window and flys away (just 4 or 5 seconds)
The trapline hi-lites
2005 championship jetboat races here in Whitecourt.
Porcupine running through the bush and scurring up a tree
(at close range)
Ruffed grouse caught napping, scurries away.
I was within 5 feet when it made its getaway.
Baby sandpipers and mother birds on their nests.
Rare Hooded Crow footage (these are European birds)
I chased that bird all summer. I am awaiting it's return.
Moose Cow and Calf (the cow is having a pee)
Squirrel dens and animal tunnels. (jam the camera down and look)
And a good number more.
I'll have to dig through the pile of DVD's and CD's so I can
upload them to the dropshots.com site.

Nobody has yet disagreed with 'the law of averages'.
Shooting more video, guarantees more good footage. Every time.
Ignorance of this law is no excuse.
The same doesn't apply to editing.

Learning the tricks that eliminate the need for editing, should be strived for.

Still waiting for somebody with enough experience to add a few pointers
that would help make my argument

Video tip #7
Don't listen to editors, they all appear to be full of themselves.

shoot video and edit, over time get good at both.

you cant guarantee good footage without the content being there. you just chase pigeons so no one should listen to you

Well lets get any editor or film maker of any movie on here ever, and ask them if editing is an importnat part of film making shall we? Will steven speilburg count as a aperson with enough experiance for you?

editing is like half the clip, it makes it funnier and look good, with shitty editing, the footage may be good, but the video sucks, and sometimes too much editing is just way lame

Video tip #6
Move the camera whenever possible.
the changing point of view is something the big cameras couldn't do easily.

I wouldnt recommend you doing that, you'll get jiggle

You're a fucking moron

You film home videos that have no value to anyone but you and a few close friends, they dont care what it looks like as long as they can join in on your paeleantological fun.

And who the fuck are you to tell us which part of film making is the funnest bit? No-one even cares who are are and yet you still think you can force your annoying little opinions on us.

An shut up with the "You're in the minority" bullshit. READ THE THREAD! I think it's plain to see that you happen to be the only one who has the opinion that editing is pointless. You've been rejected by other forums in a variety of different ways, yet you still think unedited video is best...Why?

And, incase you didn't know, skin doesn't actually last 140,000,000 years. It's called decompostition.

look kid, spectate swamp, you're so lost you've got your head buried in your own arse and you're just getting yourself deeper and deeper in shit.

for starters, you seem to have one completely screwed up idea about what kind of forum this is and what kind of videos we film. nobody here gives a tin shit about some 30-minute unedited artsy piece of footage about a crow perching on a tree or some shit. we film videos of parties, stunts and skits. if they weren't edited, they would not only be boring to watch, but they would be full of bad shots, or footage that wasnt quite good enough.

nobody's saying that filming stuff isn't great. but 99.9% of the time editing is ESSENTIAL. the reason why everyone is telling you to STFU is because you're being so goddamn patronizing to people who I can safely tell you are pros at this sort of thing. okay thanks, we know how to film. but you cannot come onto a forum like this, tell us that editing is a bad thing, and expect to defend your position. its beyond a lost cause.

I suggest politely that you either get some common sense and accept that you're talking crap, or move on where your genre of videos and style of filmmaking might be more appreciated. cause I can tell you for free, you havent got many friends here at the moment mate.

That footage sounds boring as fuck.

You are aware that this forum is orientated around filming stunts and everything else society deems morally unacceptable?
