if you have any inclination of working in film as a career, learn how to edit. if you want to show boring clips of walking around with shitty light and shitty sound and no cuts, then do whatever the fuck you want.

As an editor what do you want? "Raw unedited footage"

Take your camcorders and "go get" good video clips.
It won't come to you and you can't edit it in.

Is that live or has it been edited?

just have a meeting with guys that just started the whole parenting scene and all they wanna do is film their kids, they don't edit anything, I'm sure you guys could have great stories to share.

Just a point about your "law of averages" theory...

You go out aand film with no idea what you're going to find, so it would make sense to say that some of it's would be decent.

But most of us plan what we are going to, go out and do it and dont waste our tapes on shit that no-one cares about.

So that gives us more time at home to edit up the good stuff we got e.g. everything

I have captured lots and lots of mini video clips
in the thousands and thousands just like the K+Posters.

I am quite pleased with what I have shot. I wouldn't have
videoed it, in the first place, if I didn't think it was worthwhile.
If I didn't get good results, I would have quit long ago and become
a Thousand Plus Poster myself. (What's the symbol for Know-It-All?)

I learn something at every forum.
Here I found I should swear a lot more.
Is that ok in your videos too? or would that limit your audience?
Maybe no Oscar either.
