First time camcorder owners don't know most of this, I didn't.
I'm sure the know-it-all's do but the rest don't.

About this STFU stuff. Who's post is this anyway.

Still waiting for that first vote for not editing.
Don't let the forum bullies bother you.

Anybody with Thousands of posts couldn't possibly
know anything about shooting lots of video.
Probably no time for editing either.

Video tip #3
Don't use Digital zoom
Don't use Optical zoom (much)
Use Manual zoom whenever possible. (move in close to the subject)

And it will get funnier.

Still waiting for somebody with honest input for my side
of this debate. I can't be completely alone here.

The more I shoot the luckier I get.

Video tip #4
If nothing of interest shows up,
Practice holding the camera steady, on a ride along.
Practice moving through the bush, with the camcorder at knee level.
Practice slow pans of the area.
Practice shooting by just pointing the camera. (no peeking either)
Learn what your camera does (on auto) under varying conditions.
.
.
.
We all know what practice practice does. Makes perfect.
Nothing to edit out or clean up, when your video is perfect.

DVD storage for the practice video costs mere pennies. Keep it all.

you film totally different things than us

you film day to day things like bday partys, a friends game ect ect

we film skits & stunt music videos

we need editing,tv needs editing, movies need editing, music videos need editing for EFFECT....you just shoot mere clips that sit next to each other on a tape. intresting to you and people you know

not any of us or other film makers

I still think this is a 'prank' by one of BI, I would say one of the others who was banned but they spell worse than me

Agreed

But you film makers are by far in the minority.

When you are editing lots you are shooting little.
so again work hard at not editing.

Video tip #5
take a dog, cat, bird whatever with you
let them be the lead if nobody volunteers.

HAHA I'm laughing so hard right now. What the fuck kind of tip is that? Stop with your tips man!

I read over some of your posts... you make huge, indirect generalizations that make no sense at all...

This guys grammar is so shit that I find it hard to believe he is Canadian. Seriously, this dude has gotta be Russian like Frito or something.

btw, I shortened the title of this thread. It was too long.

We are in the minority? Look at the posts, everyone is mocking you buddy. The only minority is your paleontology self.

AND WTF is up with your site link in your profile. You seem to brag about how your topics get closed or you get suspended. I think your a lost soul trying to fit in. So you go around to forums, saying the same shit, trying to see how long it takes to close the topic? I wish I could be as cool as you Image file not present in the recovered backup

I agree with this guy, great video dosent need editing.

In future we are juts ganna film our skits stright through and anyhtin that goe wrong, any mis-takes will all be captured and put into one long video. It's the only way to go to prove you are a true video master.

Technically, after you push record, if you push pause/stop, then re-record...that's editing.

I don't care how much you say you love editing,
capturing it is way way more fun.

About the other forums.
The ones that got completely removed disappointed me.
There were some pretty funny comments from the editing side.
Others were going ballistic with the idea of not editing video.

This next tip is especially for the forum Thousand-poster-plus group.
Moving the camera means getting outside a bit.

Video tip #6
Move the camera whenever possible.
the changing point of view is something the big cameras couldn't do easily.

To do this best you only want to be looking in the viewfinder occasionally
extend you hand over-head for an unobstructed view of the crowd.
with a handheld you can be on the move at all times. Get good at it!

extremely good video is hard to edit. (Why edit video at all "Tip")

I also keep an eye on my statements were there are no comments.
Got no answers that work?

I love capturing. Man, the storys I have about sitting around for 60 minutes whilst my video transfers from camera to pc.

2 years ago I too my camcorder to an area where dinosaur bones were known
to exist. Within 4 hours there I found dinosaur skin. Videoed it in right
away. Then last summer we returned there to look for more skin and bone.
Didn't find much but did video the riverbank, at the highest optical zoom
examining it later for dino sign (in slow motion)
Again no editing.

LMAO :D Dinasur skin! hahahah!

Dude what the fuck.. Ross Geller? And dinosaur skin is really really rare...

Lol loving the tips! hahaha.. you should start a camera school for retards & parents.

I've got so much good stuff I don't know where to start.
18 ton round flattenem stones. (and two smaller ones)
Dinosaur skin find and a couple other dino expeditions.
Hawk hits window and flys away (just 4 or 5 seconds)
The trapline hi-lites
2005 championship jetboat races here in Whitecourt.
Porcupine running through the bush and scurring up a tree
(at close range)
Ruffed grouse caught napping, scurries away.
I was within 5 feet when it made its getaway.
Baby sandpipers and mother birds on their nests.
Rare Hooded Crow footage (these are European birds)
I chased that bird all summer. I am awaiting it's return.
Moose Cow and Calf (the cow is having a pee)
Squirrel dens and animal tunnels. (jam the camera down and look)
And a good number more.
I'll have to dig through the pile of DVD's and CD's so I can
upload them to the dropshots.com site.
