I thought the song would be good for a group that maybe has video of somebody quiting the homegrown crew. Just an idea.

Check out some of the other music they have. Some of their music will work and other songs won't. But don't worry, I'm getting more music either way.

Surely this contract should clearly state how the gross revenue is split up between groups, and that it is gross sales that the revenue represents.

Because if the contract doesnt clearly state how gross rev is split up. You could just put 50 clips from different people u know in. And then split it up evenly and most of the money goes to your friends who give it back to you.

But if u clearly stated that it is split up the way I sed then you cant fuck me over, and it will make muppets wanna send you as much good footage as possible in order to have a longer section and gain more money

Fact is several groups that are in the process of sending me footage or have sent footage and I'm waiting for it to arrive, didn't tell me their names. I do have some names saved but the fact that I'm juggling over 600 emails in my email box makes it difficult for me to find some group names.

I thought it was 20 groups.. Now its 4? Which one dude?

And how could you not get their names? Arent they going to get a plug? What sort of system do you have over there where you dont know whose footage you have? Then bullshit and say you have Retardz signed on?

I haven't really thought about how the gross revenue will be distributed yet.

What the fuck? How could you not have thought of it? This needs to be put in the contract before anyone signs it.

Agree 100%.... This should be worked out before the cotract is to be signed.

I read over the contract.. It is the biggest peice of shit Ive ever seen. It looks like its been written by a 10 year old. Ill go over it and fix it up a bit later, I dont have much time today but dont anyone sign it yet.

All groups have been informed to include information with their submission that clearly states their website address and the name of the group.

The guy doesn't need a job. He's a good editor and I want to work with him. It's as simple as that. If he couldn't do a good job, I wouldn't be working with him

QUOTE

In depth I haven't thought about this because I felt the way to do it was an even distribution of money between all groups involved.

I'll look over the contract when you add or change it up. Feel free to add a part about how the 30% of revenue would be distributed amongst the groups if you want.

So that I can get some exact details, and hear your views.

The goal here is to produce a respectable Homegrown DVD that would be something special. I wouldn't fuck it up by putting people I know in it to prevent me from having to pay you guys. I understand what you're logic is but I wouldn't do anything like that.

Your point makes sense though and it will make the best groups with the most quality footage more money. Before when we talked about this on the board, I had the feeling that you guys wanted an even split between the groups. Elliot is welcome to add a clause in the contract that explains this.

The way I figure it is like this. The amount of time each group is featured will be figured as a percentage of all homegrown footage, minus the credits and plugs or whatever isn't footage submitted to me. Then that % of homegrown footage from one group will be taken as the % out of the money for the homegrown groups involved.

So for example, lets say the Homegrown footage in the dvd runs 200 minutes, and muppets has a 20 minute block of time, that would equal out into 10% of the footage on the DVD, so muppets would recieve 10% of the revenue that goes to the groups.

I have a lot of connections in the DVD business, distributors, entertainment lawyers, distribution Australia, distribution in Europe. It will sell. The hard part of my job is getting the best groups involved. The better the groups involved are, the better the footage in the DVD will be and the more interested the distributors will be. The DVD will be selling everywhere, most major stores, all over the internet like Amazon.com, DeepDiscountDVD.com, etc and there's also the possibility that it will be distributed through a company that runs commercials on channels like USA, Spike TV, etc and people order it through an 800 number or website. I'm confident it will sell.

I'm not trying to sell the wrestling video in stores yet. I've had distributors make me offers but I'm doing fine selling it solo so I'm not interested in it being in stores yet so with this DVD I couldn't give you names.

With this Homegrown DVD, it is being made to specifically sell in stores. I'll have some copies for sell online but that won't be a priority because it will be sold online at Amazon.com and elsewhere.

Warner Bros in Australia will be releasing my DVDs and might possibly release them in Europe as well. In N. America, distribution is open to several companies, whoever makes the best offer. The entertainment lawyer can get it a good deal or I can approach distributors myself. I also have distribution contacts for Mexico but that market isn't very profitable. PPV is an option in the USA and also in Canada, I'm in contact with people at InDemand and I have a business associate up in Canada that already has productions airing on PPV up there and he can arrange me deals for PPV in Canada. There are several outlets which the production can be released and several different revenue streams.

LOL, I know what I'm doing. The release form that Elliot doesn't like was a release form I got from another production company that has released over 20 DVDs, so it's obviously a decent contract.

I know what I'm doing, been doing it for over 5 years. Keep in mind that I'm constantly being bombarded with questions here (which isn't a problem) so I answer quick and to the point. Plus, no offense, working with you guys and a contract is different than working with other people because your overly protective, which isn't a problem, so of course you are going to want things changed up.

if you knew what you were doing than why didn't you make a contract that was custom made to this unique situation

even if you didn't relize we would be like this in the beging you should have changed it when you relized

also I would rather have "real" and "correct" answers thatn "fast" answers, but maybe thats just me

So you made a DVD.. And you dont want to sell it in stores? Why not? It sounds like no one wants to take it to tell you the truth, not the other way around.

Maybe if you sold it in stores you'd have enough money to license the footage with upfront money like every other producer around the world does.

No, its one I just recieved from a member of these boards that is relevant to this deal. Its not 2 years old.. And I dont think its an exact copy of the one this "production company" was using.. Sure, you may have taken segments from it, but I can almost gauruntee you've taken bits out and deleted bits.

They will be releasing my recent production, and they have showed interest in this production, as well as my behind the scenes documentary of the porn industry and my next wrestling documentary. They pretty much left it off saying, "we'll want to release that in Australia and New Zealand" and I am also now brokering deals for their company to acqure and distribute other productions for Australia and New Zealand.

You can call it that if you want. Pretty much, I'm a business partner with them now. I've hit it off with the people I'm dealing with in the company and they're excited about what I'm bringing to the table, such as my productions and other people's productions.
