The Details On The DVD - % Paid To Groups Involved

Evil Webby suggested that I started a new topic clearly highlighting what the DVD offers and what I can do for the groups involved.

For starters, there will be 30% of the gross revenue of the DVD spilt amongst the groups that submit footage and have their footage in the DVD.

Your website will get plugged as well as your group name. I am also open to the idea of plugging that groups have DVDs for sale at their websites to make you guys extra money on the side.

There is a chance that the DVD will be promoted on TV similar to the Best of BYW DVD series that had commercials running. For this to happen though, the DVD has to be top notch qaulity. I am in touch with a distribution company that promotes DVDs like this and they have already shown interest in other productions of mine and that is a possibililty for this Homegrown DVD.

The DVD will of course be sold in stores and the internet but the TV commercials with the 1-800 number will increase sells dramatically.

Now if you guys have suggestions on how to make this deal sweeter for you, please post your suggestions and I will do everything possible to make you guys satisfied with the deal. I can pretty much do everything you guys have requested so far but up front payment won't be an option.

The goal is to have most of the groups here on the boards involved to make a 2 or 3 disc DVD release with each group having 5-20 minute blocks of time. Everybody involved will make money off of the DVD and if the DVD does very well I will be open to the idea of funding groups to produce more footage.

Footage like that is cool to use, like the fighting and the explosions but I wouldn't be able to use the footage of the naked girls unless their faces are blurred out. Buy yeah that footage is good to use.

Pretty much whatever footage you would want to represent your group is what is best to submit. You can send me edited footage already or my editor will take care of the editing and he's amazingly good.

Every group will have different footage and the variety will make the DVD entertaining because the viewer won't know what to expect next.

I Wouldnt share my footage with other people on a DVD.

The original deadline was August 1 but to give everybody enough time to submit footage, the deadline can be pushed back to August 10.

Does August 10th work better for everybody and gives you enough time to submit the footage?

The Union trailer is being re-worked because there was some kind of audio problem in the compression. If you're a wrestling fan you'll like these trailers but if you're not a wrestling fan you probably could care less.

My editor doesn't have any work currently online but that is something I can try to get him to do. The work I've seen from him is very good.

In regards to bush jumps, that's not what I want to make this DVD. I don't need a DVD full of 3 hours of bush jumps. Some clips of bush jumps are okay but that's not what I want this DVD to be.

I used to work for Niolan and they tried making some homegrown DVDs but the company never released them due to being burned in a distribution deal, which caused them to stop releasing DVDs. There was 2 homegrown DVDs completed by the company but they never released them. I no longer work for that company. I now own a production company called Hollymood Entertainment so I control my own deadlines and control when my productions get released.

My most recent production completed and released is titled '101 Reasons not to be a Pro Wrestler' and it's getting great reviews so far and people are really enjoying it a lot but of course it is targeted to the pro wrestling community.

The goal for this DVD is to have the editing finished in late September or early October. So the production won't be rushed but I don't want it to take a long time for it to be completed.

My group would be in it, but we won't be able to reach the deadline. We would need time inorder to get some really good footy. At least good enough for people to be surprised at some of the stunts we would pull off.

Yeh u are the same guy. Muppets are interested, but I feel that you are rushing this. We can have footage sent by the deadline, but I am worried that not enough groups will have time to gte it to you, especially since it takes time to actuall get to you and therefore the dvd will be shit.

Also how do you want the footage? on dv tapes?

I want examples of the editing style that will be adopted, cos most BYW is shitly edited.

Also will we still have rights to the footage?
