need help with 50-50 grind, it's a round rail and it's hard to actually get on the rail
↑keep your weight foreward and make sure u make a solid contact with the rail just as if your 50-50ing a kerb once u get used to the feel of sliding the rail landing is easy just do as u would rolling off a kerb. Keep your weight foreward over the board and your feet at equal distances apart to stop you from shooting out or going over on your nose
good luck xx

in response to people gettin shitty when people post diferent way to doing tricks... everyone skates differently. For my kickflips I have my feet as I ollie and just kick down to the side a bit once iv popped but my mate does it from half way down the board.
people feel comfortable doing things in different ways so the tips I give you may not work for you or they might the best way to learn skating is going out and doing it over and over yourself to the point u cant physically do any more. Thats how I learnt I didnt have any trick tips vids or forums just went out and worked out a way myself.
Stressing over the exact place you put your feet when you flip is just going to make it worse because instead of concentrating on the board n what it does and how it feels when u change technique your worrying about all these different motions in your head.
go by feel and you'll be fine
sometimes it will get you down and ull feel like giving up but the more you work on it it wil improve trust me...

well said, I know a couple of people who kickflip like you it looks cool down stairs.

it's possible?
nd I need some help with stairs I can's catch the board I can easilly jump from height drops ...
fucking stairs
↑Stairs make sure u keep the board under you. Try and keep you ollie as straight as possible to avoid bailing at the bottom.
If u keep your board straight and underneath you its just like landing a big ollie off a drop take the impact by bending your knees.
the faster you do this the easier it will be your landing will be smoother and the ollie will take less effort to clear that dreaded bottom step. Make your ollie smooth and as un-jerky as poss.
good luck mate lemme know how they get on stair sets are a big step up and im sure ull get them start on low like 4 or 5 sets to get the feel for the ollie and how u feel comfortable keeping it straight n smoth...
peace sorry this is a bit vaige
oh and watch your landing always watch when and where your going to land its nicer to look away but once u first start actually landing on the ground truck bolts you will find rolling away a lot easier if you are looking at where and how your going to land. As it is with handrails and any other big tricks...
good luck
↑thanks mate I will try that...fucking good tips...
thanks again man...

↑Hang Forward while doing them.. this way they stay under you and scoop better.
Have the tip of your toe on the left side of your tail and your front foot turned for like 70 degree and closer to the tail than with a normal kickflip. Now scoop the fucker, raise up your front foot and catch it if you can.. happy practising.

with my heelflips I can kick it I just cant land on it any one got an advice?
04 October 2005, 16:50 UTC#119
keep over the board? I've always been able to nail heelflips so I never really had to learn them. keep upright kus a lot of people I know lean loads when trying them so when they land their feet are either out of place or they shoot out. Skate tall.
