its ollie, dont listen to him. ok what u want to do is get comfortable with your footing position, put your toes on the edge of the board, and your other foot some what in the middle of the board, width wise. and about 2 inches below the front screws. then u want to push down on the tail hard, drag your left foot up and take your back foot of, meaning pull it up off the board. Then when your draging your foot to the top u have it like hook, drag it fowards til your back foot meets. land and ben dur knees. lemme know if u need more explaining

thx man, most of your tips worked, I resorted to my first, well second instinct when my friend told me what to flick with. which part. and then I tried a diff wa. now im back to the old way, and I alnded a few. sadly I broke the board in half, and instead of po shuvits I just do shuvits cause its easier and I dont care.

That's cool man glad I could help, you'll find that the more you do shoves and the faster you're going you'll start to do pop shoves without actually thinking to much about it. The rest is just getting them high. haha, unlucky about the deck, that's why I said always try to land truck bolts. How comes it broke if you were just doing a kickflip on the flat or did you stomp it?

every time I do kickflip, pop-shovit, or shovit my front foot doesent ever land back on the board. My back foot lands perfectly but my front foot lands on the ground beside the board.

Well, you did buy a skateboard to get around to classes faster in college...
And I prayed to a god that I don't really believe in to see that

after I talked to University Police about skateboarding on campus, I realized that the fines for that would keep me on my feet instead of on skateboard wheels.

Skateboarding is encouraged on campus here. It's just as common as people riding a bike.

I hardly see anyone on a bike on campus, and no one on skateboards. I had a conversation with a campus police officer and he said due to someone busting out a library window some years back, they enforced a no skateboard policy on campus which could result to at least a $100 fine.

Oh and as for your kickflips set your foot at a slant right behind the bolts and pop it more like an ollie, the push down. No sliding your foot shit.
