just do an ollie and pull front foot back

I find it helps to slant my front foot slightly towards the front of the deck

I could do the flipping of kickflips but couldnt land them with my front foot, its just pussin' at the beginning, then I was fucking around with my skateboard on the grass and nailed a few kickflips and then I did them while riding and voila.. learn them at a slow speed.

its just all balls, if you know how to boardslide consistantly on vertical rails decently high, then you're set, you just gonna take that first step.

just tuck you knees to get high and aim your trucks, ollie on the rail but when you ollie on it the back truck should be easy, but aim your front truck to get on the rail.

one thing I felt helped in gettingon to a rail stable-y was to try and pop a fat 180 over the rail and stopping short. This gave me a strong enough ollie to get up plus my feet were on truck bolts as I hit the rail. Try and concentrate on the landing the less u think of the slide the easier it is I found

hope this helps

Stairs make sure u keep the board under you. Try and keep you ollie as straight as possible to avoid bailing at the bottom.

If u keep your board straight and underneath you its just like landing a big ollie off a drop take the impact by bending your knees.

the faster you do this the easier it will be your landing will be smoother and the ollie will take less effort to clear that dreaded bottom step. Make your ollie smooth and as un-jerky as poss.

good luck mate lemme know how they get on stair sets are a big step up and im sure ull get them start on low like 4 or 5 sets to get the feel for the ollie and how u feel comfortable keeping it straight n smoth...

peace sorry this is a bit vaige

oh and watch your landing always watch when and where your going to land its nicer to look away but once u first start actually landing on the ground truck bolts you will find rolling away a lot easier if you are looking at where and how your going to land. As it is with handrails and any other big tricks...

good luck
