I got a lot of groups in The Homegrown Collection DVD. I spoke with Rico today and told him about some of the groups and individuals involved and he was really stoked. I haven't seen footage yet from all of the groups but they are all groups that everybody likes.

A few groups and individuals will be returning for the original Homegrown Collection DVD. Expect to see Arsemarks return, Asstreme, Dex will have a solo section and Tiddleworth from Shortbus will be sending footage that he's been shooting with his new crew. Dan G should also be making a return in the HGC part 2.

These are just the groups/individuals in the HGC 2 DVD that are returning.

If you aren't on this list and you were in HGC 1 and you want to be in the next DVD, contact me and I'll make sure your footage is in part 2 or definitely part 3 so we spread out returning groups, so it isn't the same groups on every DVD. I feel variety of groups and different stylizing for each DVD by the editor will make the HGC DVD series something very cool.

Pretty much, if enough groups submitted footage we could edit HGC part 2 and part 3 at the same time. I think that would be a good idea but I need more groups to be involved.

Also, I know some groups are submitting footage to other producers and other producers will be contacting you when they see the homegrown collection dvd. it's up to you guys to stay with me exclusive or if you want to be in other productions. personally I would say, hold off on things for a few more weeks until we know where the tv commercial distribution is going because right now I'm just waiting for a final, "okay, we want to start running the commercials" and then that is started and the deal is 100% finished. Right now things are sitting in their legal department and with an editor trying to put together commercials for the DVD that pass FCC guidelines for advertising.

if you want to be in other videos though go ahead, but if they aren't paying you money or a % like EVERYBODY here gave me shit about when I first pitched the homegrown collection idea, I think you guys should all form a little union together and demand money. demand a %. because without you guys, their productions won't be so hot. seriously think about it.

I just hate to see great footage be used and not make you guys any money when I can sell it to tv shows alone and make you more than you'll ever see from another companies dvd. + then you factor in all the mobile phone revenue, dvd revenue, international deals, you guys will be making some nice money on the side doing what you like to do. so just be smart, that's all I'm saying.

Hard to say really. We'll probably edit together 2 & 3 if enough groups submit footage at the same time and then next will be part 4 & 5. There's so many groups and so much fotoage and if everybody wants to be involved, or at least most groups, there's no reason we can't produce 2 dvds at the same time rather than just 1. It's just up to me and the groups if we spread out different groups on each DVD or do we put all the groups on DVDs # 2 and 3 and make the section shorter?

I like the idea of different groups in different DVDs though because that helps give each DVD more of an individual identity.

I would suggest trying to send out footage in about 5-6 weeks if possible and I can still squeeze you into the current HGC DVD productions. But I want editing started by then so I want group's footage now.

I'm not pressuring anybody. I'm just letting people know that things are about to blow up and get big. it would be a huge mistake to release footage through somebody and not make any money off of it when you can release footage through me and make a couple thousand off of 1 clip.

it's common sense and just looking out for the groups like you were when I first made the offer. and when I made that offer it was the offer that other people in the industry told me to offer you guys, because the entertainment industry looks down on a lot of this footage and they feel if you want exposure, you will give the footage for free.

And yes groups have been making money but the money hasn't been paid yet. Muppets made $2,000 for the clip I sold to the tv show on Spike TV and all of the groups will have a nice chuck of the money split amongst themselves at the end of June.

However many copies have been sold it is more money than the group would have made anyway. Some is better than none.

not sure but at least 50 copies were sold in the last 2 weeks which is decent. things are improving and distribution deals will be set up soon.
