a man lived on the 11th floor in a block of flats, when he left for work in the the morning he would always take the lift and go straight to the ground floor, but when he came back home, if it was raining he would go straight to the 11th floor in the lift, if it was sunny, he would go to the 5th floor then walk the rest of the way up the stairs, why is this?

It feels worded differently. I know of one like this where he could only go up 5 floors and HAD to walk, cause he was a midget and couldn't reach the button.
07 September 2005, 23:59 UTC#66
yep, hes a midget, and when its raining he goes straight to 11th floor coz hes got his umbrella with him to press the button, when its sunny he only reaches floor five

.
Okay then a new one

a man was locked in a room, no windows, no doors..... just four solid concrete walls, ceiling and floor. All he had in the room was a table, how did he escape the room?

its something about cutting the table in half and putting the two halfs together to make a whole and then climbing through the hole...or am I really dumb
08 September 2005, 00:07 UTC#70
nope your not dumb

... heres the answer I know
he scrathed his finger on the wall untill he made it sore, then he used the saw to cut the table in half, put the two halves together to make a whole, climbed through the hole and got out, then he shouted and shouted till he made himself a little hoarse, jumped on the little horse and rode away.. haha

although the bit about the horse is pointless and not needed but nvm
