skipper, if you only want to give me one clip, that's fine (I hope it's killer), if you want to give me 1000, that's great. You can just keep shoving it my way, and I'll keep making sales
24 August 2005, 14:24 UTC#62
Anyway yeh like I sed, if you want to check our site in a week and watch some vids. Weve got much better stuff that isnt online. But like I sed before if your willing to offer a much higher % then contact me on
[email address redacted]
24 August 2005, 14:25 UTC#63
OK Dex, you have my email. Let me know when it's up. Elliot, what do you want me to say? If your clips make me shit my pants, then you're in a good position to barter aren't you?
24 August 2005, 14:25 UTC#64
You say you've got an order for 3000 bucks.
What does the order need to be fufilled?
24 August 2005, 14:26 UTC#65
why would a clip make your bowles push their contents out?
24 August 2005, 14:29 UTC#66
Elliot, about 200 clips, 15+ seconds each would do it
24 August 2005, 14:30 UTC#67
so one group has got to give u 200 clips, of about 15 seconds per clip to get $300. fuck.
24 August 2005, 14:32 UTC#68
If you have long sequences of stuff, we cut it to approx.15 sec chunks - easy
24 August 2005, 14:33 UTC#69
Yeah fair enough.. Doubt many groups on here could even fufill a quarter of that (including us) which would mean that each group would only get around 35-40 bucks.
24 August 2005, 14:35 UTC#70
Possible to post the contract online so we can have Elliot and Weak look over it? They are our legal guru's.
24 August 2005, 14:35 UTC#71
keep in mind, this is just one order. We are pushing a whole lot more partners to take this as well, so it will be more like many X $
24 August 2005, 14:38 UTC#72
It does seem like alot of footage would be used with possibly no credit to the site for a small amount of pay back.

Made, I'm going to say no. No particular reason, other than when I enter into an agreement with somebody, it's personal and confidential.

so you cant place a blank copy of it on here so
weak and elliot will make sure we dont get reemed
24 August 2005, 14:43 UTC#76
Yeah I understand, but that kinda puts off the vibe that you have something to hide. Is it not possible to post a contract not signed or anything? I would really appreciate it if someone from our community checked it over first...
24 August 2005, 14:48 UTC#77
I don't reem anybody, it's a waste of time. I'm not interested. If anybody wants to work with us then email [email address redacted] and we can discuss
24 August 2005, 14:52 UTC#78
Dude, all of us on here dont really hide anything from eachother so if one of us get it its going to get posted and discussed anyway.
24 August 2005, 14:53 UTC#79
OK Made, one beef I have is that posting my agreement terms here, just makes it easy for anyone else to come and leech the wording that we've spent good money having drafted by legal people. That said, I WILL send a blank version to who you designate (not just slapped onto the board), so you can see that I'm not dodging reasonable enquiries or anything. Give me an email I should send to
24 August 2005, 14:58 UTC#80
Ok well hows this, send a copy now to Elliot, he has already got his own shit so he wont steal anything, not that he would anyway. Let him check over it but not post it and let him say what he thinks of it. That is fair and it wont be posted about...

Gimme a break... But anyway.
Ive read the contract. Its all above board. There's nothing dodgy about it.
The only thing is that this deal seriously offers peanuts. You'd get more money washing car windscreens at the local intersection.
As I said.. This deal you've got going now, 1 group may be able to give you 20 or 30 clips max. That would mean around 30 bucks.
Take into account you are offering 10% of NET so thats even less than 30 bucks after you're expenses. Then there's the cost of the DV tape and shipping that the groups have to purchase and you may end up with 10 bucks all together.
This deal is legit, but its a ripoff.
24 August 2005, 15:13 UTC#82
Thanks for the vote of confidence on the contract Elliot.
10% of Net, means 10% of what I get paid. Our expenses are covered by our share, they are NEVER deducted from the groups share. If we get paid $3000, you get paid $300. That's firm.
If a group has expenses like shipping, then it's only going to be one time isn't it? And I've already said that there wil be more than 1 order (when most distributors out there are still just talking up opportunities, but with no firm orders!).
So, the outcome is this. You'll get paid a protected share of confirmed sales that we have lined up, for doing little more than reading the (Elliot APPROVED) contract and emailing me once in a while with notification of new footage on your website. Easy money for somebody.
24 August 2005, 15:18 UTC#83
So is the 3000 you've got lined up the net profit or gross profit? If you're saying you've already deducted then it must be net.
But how can you make a net profit before incurring costs associated with that order?
24 August 2005, 15:19 UTC#84
Rinsed?
24 August 2005, 15:26 UTC#85
In this instance, it hapens to be same as Gross. If we were selling direct to consumer like a ringtone, it would be the amount after a network operator/carrier deducted. Actually, it might be a mistake of me to keep specifying Net, becuase that's kind of a hangover from the days we used to make direct sales - now everything is pretty much B2B, which makes our topline, the figure we strike the groups royalty.
24 August 2005, 15:28 UTC#86
Anyway, it's been nice talking this through. If anybody else wants to do some great work with us, and make some money from your work, email me at [email address redacted]
24 August 2005, 15:32 UTC#87
sorry id rather not do all this hard work to fill your pockets
24 August 2005, 15:33 UTC#88
Dude, you've specificly listed net.. What do you mean its the same as gross in this case? Its not. Its no where near the same thing.
If its the same thing why have you specified what NET entails in your contract?

Net Revenue is defined as being the amount Sonoho receives for the paid supply and sale of the content after the following deductions: (I) advances; (ii) any refunds or repayments; and (iii) all sales tax and any similar tax for which Sonoho is required to account. Net Revenues will not include royalties payable to Sonoho for the use of its Music Copyrights.
It says it in black and white.
24 August 2005, 15:35 UTC#89
OK, but 4 other groups did while we were having this cosy chat. Sorry you can't join us.
24 August 2005, 15:54 UTC#90
what groups were they
