I know this is old, but I was caught on security cam doing this at my old school. I got a misdeamenor in vandalism. Which means, if I am arrested within the next 8 months (was a year) I would go to jail for up to 90 days. Also known as suspended jail time. No matter what the arrest is for.

In Auckland they are getting really tough on graffiti now, the penalty is a pretty big fine, and clean off all of it (everything, not just yours) around the whole suburb at your own expense, which would be a bitch. I’d go for a political mask or something. But at the same time, go hard

The penalty is wilful damage and if your under 16 you get nothing. If your over 16 and have had no previous criminal charges, you may be entitled to the police diversion scheme. Which means 100 bucks to a charity. And I have to pay 50 bucks to the watecare station that I tagged on.
I know because I got caught for it.
However if you are a notorious tagger, depending on how "up" you are, it can range from a $2000-25000+ fine, to prison time.
EDIT: I dint have to clean shit. I went past the day of my trial and loled at the graffiti cleanup crew.

I'm waiting until 'KURSE' is 16, then I'm gonna dob him in, and LOL when he can't afford to pay for all the stuff he's fucked up and then like gap the scenes cos lots of huge black guys will kill me.

I went smashing up election billboards, so far im up to 22 Image file not present in the recovered backup

me and fish were chased by the police saturday night, FUCK THEY ARE FAST, there was one cop and he parked and got out of his car while he chased us, but we hid in a car park and were all good, then the next morning we paint bombed one of the huge billboards in broad day light, then ran on railway tracks and some cunt called the police and once again were chased but we got away

yeah that sounds about right. Youre basically on probation right? Thats how it would be in the US.
In the area Im moving to the cops have set up 23 new security cameras on all the major streets. We wont be able to use cars to do our filming because the cams will pick our plates. It really sucks...because as you will soon see in my upcoming clips...this area is 1 of the absolute best places to film the shit I like to film. Getting away clean keeps getting harder and harder.

I was gonna post a similar thread to this but I noticed it was similar to what I was going to ask.

If you film you doing it, then the police see.. Yeah you'll get busted.. But if you just film the graffiti, with you next to it or w/e.. Nah you won't get in shit.

You can wear a mask or blur your face. If your vandalism becomes a big enough problem for police they have other ways they can bust you though. All they need is a witness and a signed statement. Your friends who were with you are considered witnesses, and police have pretty good tactics and getting friends to confess.
