What I don't get is how you can like the taste of it at all, it just tastes terrible, unless I just haven't drank enough varieties to properly tell I dunno. lol
I agree. I think beer tastes like shit pretty much; I can drink a can and then I just feel fucking sick. There's no need for anything to taste like that.
Cider's where it's at. And whiskey.
edit: Fuck wine too.
20 October 2008, 20:27 UTC#157
Back in the day when I first tried beer I was disgusted, but it just grew on me over a few years.
Now it's delicious. Well, good beer at least.
20 October 2008, 22:14 UTC#158
All I really drink now is cask wine and vodka.
I get it free, so yeh cant complain, but I do like beer, NZ isnt big on cider's though, never seen any in the shops?
On the topic of alcohol, Gin is THE worst drink on the earth. PERIOD.

Back home, you learn very quickly what is acceptable behaviour regarding alcohol.
Basically, with an abundance of beer, wine and spirits, it is completely un-Australian to turn down any form of alcoholic beverage.
Beer and wine, in my opinion, are the most practical drinks to choose if you are looking to get hammered, as they're cheap, delicious and readily available,
I can't imagine why and how people cannot drink either of the two.

I used to talk to a guy from New South Wales a lot and he raved about some wine in a pouch called Goon or something haha.

I wouldn't "rave" about goon, per se. It's really cheap wine in a cask, most commonly consumed by Uni students and Aboriginals.
It's about $12 - $15 for 4 litres.
After you've finished the cask, you can fill the bladder with air and use it as a pillow.
Practical
and economical.

Bass Pale AleI drank this last night and I can't really remember any distinguishing tastes or anything. I can say that this is one, if not the first, ale that I've liked. Probably because it tasted more like a lager, rather than an ale. Hardly any aftertaste. Had good drinkability.

The only thing that stands out is a slight ginger or cinnamon taste. It's an American beer made by Budweiser. The big whoop surrounding it is the "gluten free" marketing. It's made without wheat or barley. It's made from Sorghum (a gluten free grain), apparently.

I didn't get any of that but are you saying you're drinking white russians out of a bitches ass or that you simply drank a white russian?
27 October 2008, 19:30 UTC#180
What I said, from my interpretation of my drunkard rambling, was "Straight out of the bottle is alright, but mixed drinks are far better in my opinion. You mix kaluah and milk for a white russian."
Then I trailed off into NAS and Raekwon Lyrics. Also I thought z's were cooler than s's.
