k fine, fuck...half of it just sounds so fucking the same, and so fucking stupid, then the scremaing lyrics bullshit is fucking stupid, the lyrics are stupid, and this whole set up they try to do to like worship satan and junk, fuck, why not just join the army and go over seas and kill people instead of making shit music...like ill admit that some isnt bad, but to me the majority is just fucking terrible

I've seen myself grow away from metal these past few years. I used to be a purist of sorts and would only listen to the most technical, heavy stuff around. Now I listen to bands that used to make me want to kill myself, namely Underoath and other hardcore acts.

I'm way more open nowadays.

Edit: Mike I agree, most metal sucks. You just have to know where to find the good stuff **cough cough Scandinavia cough**.

I hate all the metal purists who refuse anything and everything not associated with the genre. Narrow minded fucks mostly. There's a world of music out there. Experience it.

Fair enough you don't like screaming, but it's pretty dumb to generalize and say all of them "worship satan and junk" some of them are just atheists that enjoy playing the music.
