Everything related to media goes in here, movie reviews, band reccomendations etc.

Post your top 10 so others can gain knowledge and check out if they haven't heard of them. Include brief descriptions if you want. You can post more if you can be arsed, don't have to be in order or anything. Yeah, I'm bored and am in the mood for creating a thread. All the cool kids do it. I'll get the ball rolling.

-Opeth- mixture of prog and death. Listen if you like long songs, acoustic interludes and general musical brillance.
-Cryptopsy- brutal canadian death metal. Best drumming you'll ever hear.
-Emperor- Norwegian black metal. Pioneeers of the genre...total legends.
-Suffocation- More brutal death. Some of the best there is.
-Dying Fetus- see above
-Fantomas- took me a while to appreciate Mike Patton, but these guys are pretty dope. Probably the only Patton project I like, although Mr. Bungle has some funny shit.
-Jedi Mind Tricks- Mad rap...don't call yourself a rap fan if you've never heard these guys. Surprised the thread about them didn't get many posts.
-Fleetwood Mac- There's just something about them I like O.K.? You probably wont like them.
-Black Sabbath- self explanatory...epic pwnage. Other forefathers of metal godliness like Priest and Maiden also deserve mad props. You're gay if you don't like at least two of these three bands.
-Pink Floyd- Bah...who doesn't like these guys?
Lucky 11: Prodigy Liked these guys since forever. First two albums are the best.
I could sit here and write at least 100 entires, mostly consisting metal, but that's it for now.

The Number 12 are really spastic and technical. One of the best bands I've seen live.

I go through phases but right now my list is probably -

1) In Flames
2) Coheed and Cambria
3) The Number Twelve Looks Like You
4) HORSE The Band
5) Heavy Heavy Low Low
6) The Devil Wears Prada
7) The Fall Of Troy
8) Foxy Shazam
9) Every Time I Die
10) Underoath

I actually had a hard time filling that out, because I listen to way too much music.

Listening to them now on teh myspace; fucking mad stuff. They do have a similar sound to HHLL actually. Mono should check out Daughters if you already haven't, would be right up your alley.

Glad to see HG has such mad taste in music.

With my list I was kinda going for the diversity factor...I didn't want to just include a shit load of obscure death/black/thrash/grind bands lol
