It's been ages since we had a thread similar to this and opinions change over time (I've changed my career plan like 3 times over the past 6 months I think lol)...so yeah. Tell HG what you want to be.

And if so, tell us how you came to your decision (in other words: money, interest, love of 'helping people' etc etc--any of that crap).

At the moment I'm still currently undecided although I have a lot of things that interest me. I still want to work somewhere in publishing/writing/editing...can't decide what though; there's a lot of areas of specialty.

trying to make the tour de france by 2010, im 24 now so I should be peaking around about that time...

once I retire from riding I plan on yeh working in film, directing, producing ect.. see what happens

with the why: I have been racing bikes for about 10 years, with mixed success. Mainly in Downhill mountain biking, raced at National level, but enver made it to international. I started training on road bikes to get my fitness to the next level, with that I discovered I was far, far better on the road bike than the mountain bike, I was at A grade level within months, I was faster than guys who had been doing it seriously for years and years.. so meh, you can't hate something, for whichever reason, comes naturally to you. So I've stepped down from racing Downhill Mountain bikes, I'm still racing 4x and BMX, but mainly for fun. I'm trying to get myself to the highest national level by this time next year, and after that I'll campaign for a pro team..
it may not happen, it's hard work and in the 16 months I've been riding road bikes I've been sick, or injured (from over-training) for about 8 of them. So it's gonna be a long road.. and that's about it

Dude, I'm totally with you on that...if I could just do jack-shit nothing all day that would suit me perfectly.

Unfortunately the government cuts off your unemployment benefits when they find out you've been dodging work on purpose :( So therefore, I think I actually need a job.

If anyone has suggestions on how I can be a rich lazy cunt mention it here or PM me lol

A student for as long as possible, student life is so simple compared to having to work. Failing that, game designer or animator.

Try to become a writer.

If that doesn't happen I'll learn how to make strains and spend my time making a strain.

I'm already "grown up", as I thought most people here were, lol.

Atm, I'm working as a manager for an internet service provider. Not very satisfied with it anymore TBH as I've lost my interest in the IT industry and I'm more of an out door guy. fuck it, you only live once and I'm not gonna tolerate being bored and unsatisfied much longer.

Yeah, I'm with G on this one. I'm already completely and totally satisfied with my life. In about 2 years I'll have my teaching certification so I could be a teacher, but as of now, I'm pretty much exactly where I want to be.

Bring it down from the inside!

I wanna work in producing or editing, something where I get to go outside, do work, then come back and put it all together.

I'm not completely sure, but I'd like to do something film related.

Being a photo journalist could be cool because you'd get to travel a lot.

Ideally, I'd wanan be a photojournalist too, buuut due to reasons I can't go and do the photojournalism course I want to do, so it's likely I'll try and join the police force and hopefully end up in the armed responce unit.

I wanna be a guy that invents one crappy little thing then lives off it for life. One of my flatmates knows the guy that invented those pole-things for getting golf balls back from ponds, you know? He hasn't worked since, and lives in a giant house complete with private golf course. Fucking ridiculous.

That's what I wanna do, for sure.

I got this idea for a pair of boxers that offer testicular support for us who's balls seem to get away from them.
