Has anyone had any past experience using the MKE 300 Sennheiser mic?

I need to know how I can attach it to my HC7 because it doesn't have a hotshoe. >_<

what doesn't have a hot shoe?

The mic doesn't. But I've solved the problem with that now.

tell me how that mic works for you, I want one for my HC3 if it works.

EDIT: I think the hc3 might be to small, anyone no how to raise the mic up a biit so it wonk be in the picture?

Jonb I did some homework for your problem here(I also own an HC3) you would need a Sony VMC-K100 Microphone Adapter(apprently discontinued but not hard to find one) if you wish to plug in any type of microphone thats is not of sony brand. And has far has microphones for the Hc3 a Rode Videomic or an MKE 300 Sennheiser mic are best choice. I would chose the Rode, but thats my opinion. And for the clearance problem, brackets are cheap. Here are two good for the HC3, Sima Video Bracket or a Bescor bracket. I did all my resreach threw various websites and found all the products on http://www.bhphotovideo.com hope that helps. I have a Bescor bracket ,Rode Videomic and The sony vmc-k100 on its way.

yeah my hc3 looks like a beast right now with the wide lens and temporary sony stereo mic, its gonna look like frankenstein with all these little gadgets hooked up to it on every angle(raynox mx3000 and rode videomic). let me know if you get that raynox im getting one but would like to know how it looks threw the viewfinder, and dont forget to get a step up ring to get that 58mm diameter lens(raynox) on a 30mm diameter camera thread.

Not so much man, I have the same lens. Have you even messed around with other lenses of that size? The MX3K is good for the price, but it's mediocre compared to other lenses for VX's and etc. Your rich ass should have a Mark 1 or something.

But nah I have an MX3K aswell, I bought like a 30 filter set for my HC7 aswell as the Kenko lens which is all I really need right now. I'm looking at getting a Raynox FE180PRO because it's so fucking sexy.
