Yeah it's good, 1 small light will illuminate everything and even without a light there is still a shit load you can see. You can use the nightshot and film over like 30 meters away in total darkness.

I'm going by what the specification said, but I have fully zoomed in darkness and it showed up great, but there was some streetlights and stuff so take that for what its worth.

got my HC3 today, I like it. Feels good filming with somthing that does not feel like its going to fall apart.

ya I will put them up after I get tapes for my HC3, I dont have a digital camera, Its a peice of work. We still may use it if we really need more angles on a stunt or somthing. I can get the picture quialiy up with ulead 11 to so it wonk be a problem, if u have HDV video and DV video then ulead will upscale the DV to look almost like the high-def footage, so I am going to try that out tonight. Also unless u already have your mind made up vode, then u might want to consider an HC3 because of the price, I got mine brand new of Ebay with a warrenty and all for $600. So it saves u alot of money.

EDIT: and I finally realised y I was getting all the info wrong, I was looking at the HV10

The price and analog in makes it go over hc7 in my books. I´ve made up my mind, Im going to get it.
