hc3? How have you liked it? You said that it had better low light performance than you 3ccd that is.... what model?

Hows been dealing with hdv?

For the 24p problems I´ve found mixed information. But one should study lots of capturing and exporting 24p footage before getting hv20 if 24p is one of the reasons to get that camera.

Good good, but haha, man you must have adhd or something. C-bet said that it has accessory shoe Image file not present in the recovered backup

I was going off the video, I did not have the time to read all of the page. click the vid and that one bitch says no acsessory shoe, so prehaps shes wrong? or I am just hearing everything wrong?

O and al I am really looking into getting that cam, how do you like it?

lol

I got to use the HV10 and the HC7 today, and I really liked the HC7. It had some sweet fetures and was not to heavy or anything and felt nice filming with it. As for the hv10 it had some sweet picture quality, but it felt like it was off set when u were holding it. Its not a big problem but it would probley bug u when filming for long periods of time. Its smaller then the hc7 as well, if that matters to anyone. The zoom was really slow on it, but if your shooting short films that does not matter a hole lot and I think u can change the zoom speed???( I was told from and employ there, dont assum this is true). Over all I would take the HC7.

Good info man, but did you use hv10 or hv20? Because there is big difference between them. Specially with design, hv20 looks lot more like hc7 than hv10.

The HC7 has Cinematic mode, Vode. Which is what you're looking for right?

Im just generally looking for new camera. Ive pretty much decided to go with good consumer priced hdv cam. So it comes down to canon hv20 and sony hc7.

Hv20 is cheaper, has 24p and is generally ranked as better than hc7.
Hc7 has better design (feels better in hand) and has nightshot.

Im probably going with hv20, because this camera would be fo skits and short movies and desing and nightshot arent that important in that kind of use. And for general HG and fuck around I have my two sony handycams, with nightshot

sorry for double but the HC series all have a high speed camera function, where they shoot at 200-240FPS. not really of that much use but it would be cool to mess around with.

Oh yeah, thats good info. I knew it but didnt give it much though as its only for few seconds. so it would work for e.g. stunts. How many seconds was it?

3 seconds slowed down to 12.

There is no audio though which is a shame, although you can record your own audio over it David Attenborough style.

or film a 2nd angle and use that audio as it can be slowed down alot more than a video without laggin

at the moment my main camera is a Sony HC85 (which im selling) my spare cameras are sony HC20, Sony Trv19, Sony TRV235. next update will be to a HV20 or HC7.

as to how many...with the people in the crew over 25ish cameras, I have acceses to a xm2 (gl2), HC1, VX1000, VX2100, and another 10 to 15 unimportant cameras the other filmers own but some being the same models.

not that we film all at once, that would be chaos setting up all the shots and finding decent angles that dont conflict with others shots. we all film stuff in small groups, we some times film with each other and there isnt really a set full time crew theres always people not there and new people who just happend to come along because there friends with someone with someone else ect, so everyone gets something done. it works out very well as the footage is stacking up too fast for me to do anything with it.

but yeah me im just happy to have/to get a decent camera and a smaller backup camera for 2nd angles / carrying on me at all times.

I highly recommend the HC7. I have had no trouble with it and the low light is pimp as fuck.
