I visit a massive tech forum sometimes, and it is fucking dead when in the other months it's heaving.

People just have to much to do in August to be able to sit down and post till the early morning, that's what you do in winter.

last summer was the hunt 3... and if you werent doing the hunt 3.. you were talking about it... the split up of hgf into hgv kinda killed alot of posts...guess thats what happens when 11 year olds or ones who act thus's tempers flare

Ive been releasing videos a lot this month, but I never get over a page or commments anymore. I used to get about 2 or 3. its sad.

I could do a "What color is your poop" thread and get more responses than a ligitimate video release. Homegrown is dead. Let's just fucking bury it already.

I think it's a big mix of people growing out of it, newer groups sucking, plus less quality members and shit topics.

people who "grow out of it" weren't doing it for the right reasons to begin with.

And alot of new people seem to just get into because they're young, impressionable and just HAVEEEE to belong to a "scene". All they do is watch other videos, then mimic what they see.

Its fair to say its diyng, but it will pick up, there wil probs be loads of new members after jackass the movie and DS movie come out.

I guess people are bored of seeing the same thing from the average groups, nothing really original, the only thing that I get excited about is reading new things or watching new vids from the big dogs of HGF, most of which havent released stuff in a while (with a few exceptions) but thats cool, because they will soon im sure.

If you look at the post stats you'll see that it has nothing to do with seasons of the year. We've been experiencing a somewhat consistent decline for the past full year now.

If anything, Summer should be a time for this board to be more active than normal and I remember a lot of people were predicting that. People were saying in the Summer groups do more filming so there are more video releases and threads/posts rise.

When I was around properly posting shitloads I'd make shitloads of threads, they sparked discussion. Nowadays people refresh the boards expecting there to be a thread, if everyone does this how the hell can we expect loads of posts? Time for the admin and mod team to pull their fingers from their ass and start making threads, then things'll improve.

I have a few thread ideas, but there all gay, I was thinking of starting one like "What's the weather like today - Near you?" or something, but hah, I never usually start threads like that soo.....

We used to have alot of those "whats the greatest HG stunt you have seen?" "your favourite HG video?" etc, but maybe some people cant be bothered to post as we will just say; "oh, this has been done like 10times before" so no one posts, I'll admit I usually say stuff like that.

But yeah, I wouldn't mind a few of those threads again...

Yeah, what's with that? Almost ALL things on the BI dvds are released at some point, and they have a few hidden extras that never were... but ifyou want people buying your DVDs, I think you have to at least show some of what's gonna be on there. If I don't know what to expect, then I'm not buyin it, that's fo' sho'.

Yeah, I'm one of the lurkers. Sorry about that. I have the feeling that once Moody's TV show gets on the air everyone will be flocking to Homegrown to see what's up.

I'm just saving clips so we can build hype right before the release, not a year before so everyone will forget, but we'll still release internet style clips just for fun.
