OH oh oh I saw the trailer for that quite recently and got really intrigued by it! It's the one that appears to be a zombie movie but filmed in Cloverfield manner right?

VIP plz?

yeah can do when my net is sorted. cause it's brazilian I had to download subs separately and apply em in VLC, for some reason they're poorly translated in parts. doesn't affect the movie too much, just a warning.

Yer you hardly notice them because your pants are filled with shit, end scene is truly terrifying, not too jumpy but just a really fucking horrible movie to watch, [rec]omend it though.

ok so I watched funny games and I kinda felt exhausted after watching it.

I probably need to read up on it more, but I couldn't really grasp it - I had no idea what it was getting at. when peter addresses the viewer I just felt confused and it seemed totally out of place, along with the remote control sequence.

that said, I thought peter and paul were great characters and enjoyed their performance thoroughly.

It is if you dig watching really shitty films. Being high makes it watchable.

I haven't watched Poultrygeist yet, but it seems awesome. I'll up it. Image file not present in the recovered backup

You have to watch the original. It was very arty and surreal and ....french. WHich is why it worked.

And this is why an english version wouldnt work.

It was German loel.

I was under the impression it was a shot-by-shot remake of the original by the same director.

I liked it.

The little aside that Peter has to the audience is there just to show the absurdity of everything. Their motivation is simply that they want to do something sadistic. They want "entertainment" as they put it at one point. They have no internal struggles or deep teeming issues. They're just bored rich kids. The aside and some of the drawn out scenes or instances where action isn't even shown on-screen (the shooting of Georgie) are all devices of the abstract or absurdist motif throughout all of it. I thought it worked well.

By the way, the dude who played Peter was also Brian in Mysterious Skin.

swear it was french?

I was abit drunkerd when I watched it.

But yeh if its forreign and its all weird and abstract its art, if its english and abstract and a remake its crap.

The original funny games was gnarly, I've not seen the remake yet, But apparently it's nearly identical shot for shot, So chances are I'd enjoy...Naomi Watts shits me though.

I'm currently embroiled in the venture brothers season 2... Pure unmitigated gold, I go on and off it but It's written soooo damn well compared to most the the surreal absurdist stuff on adult swim.
