In The Line Of Fire.
Really decent thriller. Clint Eastwood is so-so as the protagonist, but John Malkovich clearly steals the show as the fucked up psycho trying to kill the US President. Great movie that you should see if you haven't already.
good movie

Love the first two so much.

Caught Aeon Flux on TV.
Not much to shout about, pathetic storyline and some weak acting. At least Charlize Theron is hot.
Had to laugh at one bit right at the start where a black woman gets surgery to make her feet into a second pair of hands. You know...LIKE A FREAKIN' MONKEY? But yeah, seriously, that was the highlight.

I Am Legend.
Was alright, nothing mind blowing though. Seemed to be really short and had a sucky ending too.

Smokin' Aces.
This just wasn't as good as I expected. Sure, there were some awesome action scenes, but they seemed to be over so fast. The rest of the movie was some slow-paced, convoluted drama that ended in a twist that I saw from miles away.
The characterisation in particular was really poor: I had no idea who anyone was - like their history, for example. The characters all just seemed thrown in. There was huge potential for each hitman to have an awesome backstory or motive or whatever, but no.
Maybe I'm just being harsh, but to be honest, I was waiting for it to end.

I Am Legend - really really disappointing
shitty acting, shitty CGI, shitty action, shitty ending
17 December 2007, 10:48 UTC#1,245
What happened in the end? I'll most likely get dragged to see this so if I ruin it for them first then we can see something better.
17 December 2007, 11:37 UTC#1,246
**SPOILERS (if anyone cares)**
The monsters are vampires, and there are some people who aren't completely vampire, so they're human during the day. Will Smith has been killing them all, so they see him as an enemy. He tries to make a cure, but it doesn't work, until they give a woman some ice for a wound and they discover that lowering the body temperature makes the cure work.
Will Smith gives the cure to a woman and a guy, who escape as Will sacrifices himself fighting the vampires. The two escape, cultivate the cure, and save the world. Will Smith becomes a "legend". The end.

it was just really weak. Towards the end they bring in these 2 characters, one being a little kid who never says a word and always has a stupid expression on his face - and the other being some shitty mexican actress. Theyre the main part of the ending and its really whack they invested so much of the film into 2 people who fucking suck.
and what the fuck were they thinking casting a smart ass black guy as the worlds greatest scientist?
piece of shit faggot movie burn in hell

I rewatched The Illusionist and The Prestige,
having read the prestige book I think the movie, although straying from the text, had many similarities and I greatly enjoyed watching it.
I also watched Irish Jam, thought parts of it were funny as hell, I would watch it again.
