yeah it was. Only complaint was there should have been more of Brad Pitts character because he is such a good character, but then I guess the story would not have gone the places it did. So many good lines and brilliant scenes. Just loved it.

Dragonball Evolution - far, far worse than I imagined. Not even fun in a "suspension of disbelief" kind of way, just pure crusty shit from start to finish.

The movie plays out like High School Musical meets The Karate Kid, with no singing, a TINY amount of fighting...indeed the flick doesn't offer much of anything. The actors are pitiful, Yamcha in particular sounds like he's reading out a fanfic that he wrote ten minutes previous to filming. The only character that's pulled off with some semblance to the original is Chow Yun Fat's Master Roshi. Piccolo is ridiculous, with poor James Marsters looking like he's got a green plastic bag stretched over his face. Not to mention he gets almost no screentime, with a "hot" female henchman doing all the Ball-stealing for him.

The final battle, when it comes, is painfully brief. From growing up watching battles that could be half an hour long or more, this offering of several ki blasts, then some punches, then a kamehameha to finish just reeks of being feebly rushed to completion because the special effects budget ran out.

The movie quite blatantly sets itself up for a sequel, but (if we can believe the clues) it's one in which Piccolo is still the villain, which is bullshit. If anything, the plot needs to move along and start introducing the saiyans pretty quickly if this franchise wants any hope of staying afloat.

This movie has bland characters, unconvincing acting, a total lack of respect for the source material, boring action scenes and no depth whatsoever. Probably one of the worst adaptations I've ever seen.

Pelham 123 (if that was the title)

It was a generic 1995 action/thriller and a waste of my money. And John Travolta was a major fag as the villain.

Nice, I should probably have watched that one first then. Travolta ruined the whole thing for me though so I don't think I can watch it anymore :/
