Wait, that page was a burning of me? I may have liked a movie a couple of you disliked, but in the end, I'm still a better person than everyone here.

edit - Al, I really wanna see Funny People. Was it sentimental at all? Or did it just go for laughs most the time. I'd prefer to go to a comedy and laugh, and not worry about it trying to make me feel empathy and stuff.

it's not knocked up or 40 year old virgin, it's pretty deep for an apatow movie. don't go into it expecting a comedy, expect a drama/dark comedy.

I loved it though, I doubt everyone will feel the same.

The Mist - was expecting a purely average American shocker film. Underestimation of the the fucking decade. I'm a big fan of creature features and my heart was literally pounding all the way through. I cannot believe this slipped in as a 15-rated flick because it deserved much more than that.

The movie doesn't beat around the bush. This isn't one of those bullshit TV horror movies where it goes all tense for a while then a cat makes everyone jump. This is "the monsters are coming and they are going to kill you if you don't do something now".

I liked how the movie not only pulled off a fantastic horror atmosphere, but also had the subplot of human psychology woven into the mix; sort of exploring how in the absence of rational answers, humans will start to believe anything you tell them. Now, this is all well and good, but I hated the scene in which this was basically thrown in the audience's collective face. It's like, we're seeing it happen, you don't need to have the characters going "HURR DURR RELIGION = BAD".

Speaking of which, if you choose to watch The Mist, prepare to hate a fictional character more than you have ever hated anything before in your existence. I'll say no more, but I was seething with rage at many points in this flick.

Another little touch to watch out for is Flight Of The Conchords' Rhys Darby in a laughably short role that only made me wish he could have been in the movie for a lot more.

If you liked Cloverfield, I definitely think you'll dig the monster attacks and human interactions that The Mist has to offer. Of course, I went in with really low expectations, but as horrors go, this is the best I've seen since Rec, hands down.

Got it last year, agreed its awesome. The only time I think I've ever thought the ending to a film was better than the ending in the book.

"what just happened" tried to watch this a couple of times and I've fallen asleep about half an hour in, it's just not good enough to hold my attention. wouldn't bother with it.

Horton Hears A Who. Funny as fuck!

The Bed Sitting Room. A Spike Milligan film from the sixties. Proper weird, surreal movie. Very much Monty Python style British comedy. It's set in post Nuclear apocalypse England, nobodies too sure whats happened but they are still going about their business as if things are fine, people transform into parrots, cupboards and bed sitting rooms due to the radiation, the B.B.C is one man and there is a police force who fly around in a car on a balloon telling people to keep moving so as not to give the enemy (who ever they are) another chance to hit them. The countries electricity is generated by one man on a bike and the answer to getting raped by midgets is vaginas on womens shoulders.

Not a hysterically funny, but very clever and a so surreal I couldn't help but laugh at some pretty bizarre shit, would defiantly recommend to anyone...it's all on youtube if you wanted to give it a shot.

watched most of I love you man...found it to be extremely lame and form a comical movie stand point the only thing making it a comedy was the main character inability to properly socialize which got annoying.

so, I watched Last House On the Left and found it to be an actually descent horror flick.

I loved how well Paul Rudd managed to be akward. Hilarious. Also 'Schilinger' was good as always.

Other than that a pretty mediocre movie.

I watched the mist the other day and honestly really hated it, story line was ridiculous, didn't find the creatures terrifying honestly though the whole thing was completely laughable. The ending was good though granted but felt everything before the last 2-4 minutes of the film is horrendous.

Watching all 3 Naked Guns tonight.

The final matrix film. Never seen it before, people have always said it was crap, but I thought it was brilliant. Didn't understand some of it, but it was a good action film.

I enjoyed all 3.
