Wasnt a big fan of that, maybe I was too ripped to enjoy it. Some parts were good but I think it went for too long.

Ahaha. Oh Vacancy. How you tease the viewer with your fairly good premise for a story then completely fucking ruin it with plot holes and horror cliches. Such a shitty movie.
Saw III - massive downturn from the first two. You can already see the telltale signs of the series circling the drain. While some of the trademark "games" that define Saw remain quite gruesome, they don't seem as cunning or elaborate as things we've seen before, and rely solely on shock value to draw in the viewer.
You know sitcoms and cartoons always end up doing a fucking flashback clip show? That's basically the storyline of S3. It shows events from the first two movies in a lot of detail: the fate of the cop at the end of S2, how Jigsaw prepared Adam and Laurence's game in the first, how Amanda came to be the apprentice and so on. You can tell they proper ran out of ideas for an actual story, so the present-day events storyline is pathetically weak.
SPOILERS. Speaking of pathetically weak, what a shitty twist at the end. It turns out all along that the girl and the guy being tested were husband and wife. Well, golly gee gosh, I'm astounded, particularly since we saw the wife having sex with ANOTHER guy earlier on, and have a discussion with him about things not being the same between them and they wanted a divorce. This conversation makes NO SENSE - because they're not married - except as a shitty attempt to throw us off the trail of the writers' so-called "twist". We also don't care since their marriage was dead, they lived apart and hadn't spoken in weeks. So, they were husband and wife, but hardly knew each other and never talked, giving them little to no relationship and thus no point in building the entire fucking movie up to that redundant point. Nice one.
The atmosphere is non-existent. I didn't care if any of the wooden, two-dimensional characters lived or died. There's the psycho bitch who xXcuts_herself_to_see_her_soul_bleedxX, the dad who's lost everything out for revenge...seriously, the flashbacks to the original Saw were the best thing about this movie because it reminded me how awesome this idea used to be before it became a franchise. Fuck Saw III and the other eleven they're planning on making.

Choke, I don't think they captured the same tone of the book, but they followed the book pretty damn well so it was a good watch.

Christian Bale, definetely. Seen a lot of his stuff already, barely any of the older films though.
Sixteen Candles - Good movie, although not very interesting. I liked it.

30 Days Of Night - Not bad, had it's moments and decent gore. The bit with the rock crusher machine near the end was sick as. Also proper loved the flyover shot when the vampires are overrunning the town, and you can just see chaos and shit, really effective.
One thing that got me was that the vampires seemed to be little more than fast, intelligent zombies. There wasn't much character to them, they just jumped along, pouncing on people and nomming them. The lead vampire looked like some 40 year old guy working in telesales called Jeff for crying out loud.
Was quite good though, I'd like to check out the graphic novel.
