I <3 Huckabees - Great flick with Jason Schwartzman, Dustin Hoffman and Jude Law. An evironmentalist, a firefighter, a corporate douchebag and a model become mixed up in each other's lives when they all visit an existential detective agency in order to find out more about their ultimate destinies. Really good if you like that sort of deep, philosophical shit but seeing it grounded in the tragedies of real life. Also funny. Recommend.

The Darjeeling Limited - watched this right after and holy shit, if I though the last movie was good, this blew it away. Jason Schwartzman again, alongside Adrian Brody and Owen Wilson as three brothers on a six-day train journey through India that they hope will serve as a spiritual quest and encourage them to become a family again; after a tragedy that resulted in them losing contact for a year. Absolutely incredible script, the three main leads play off each other so perfectly it's hard to believe they aren't actually brothers. Everyone should see this.

True. I agree.

...but you must have been watching some shit movies before these two as you seem to be so overwelmed by these somewhat unsignificant movies.


EDIT: imdb history tells me that I gave I<3hckbees a 7 and darjeeling ltd. a 9.... seems fair

It's funny you say that because we actually did watch Epic Movie right before those two, and it was the smelliest pile of unfunny crap I've ever seen.

I wouldn't say I was overwhelmed by them, but Darjeeling was an awesome movie, no doubt. Huckabees was good as well. Tbh I'd rate them the same as you, 7 and 9.

Yeah that movie is absolutely hilarious. I watched it on tv for a short while yesterday but I have it on DVD so..

I hated him before this movie but I found Will Arnett's character hysterical

Grand Torino.

I never really say any Eastwood movies so I can't say I was a fan or a hater going into this. From a totally unbiased stand point (because I wanted this movie to be good), Grand Torino is the corniest, hokiest, poorly acted movie I've ever seen.

I could go on forever about this movie, but if you don't want to rage imagine it's a comedy penned by a racist that wants the racist to come off as the hero.

Gran Torino is good. I agree with shitty acting, excluding Eastwood. I think it was intentional? The others were noticeably bad at acting, ya know?

Great movie... thats one I will keep on my HDD and watch again a year down the line.

Dunno, he doesnt really have any DVD's here. Leaves them all back in London. He's bringing a few back with him though. Including Heroes season 1. I've never seen them and he is always raving about it so I figured I'll give it ago.
