Curious Case of Benjamin Button
I can see this winning:
Best Screenplay Adaptation
Best Makeup
Best Actor "Brad Pitt
Best Picture
I thought they did a really god job on the script, then I saw the book, it's 30 pages tops (big type). The movie is 3 hours.
28 December 2008, 18:31 UTC#3,246
I really want to see that, really.
watched: Abre Los Ojos.
awesome movie.
28 December 2008, 18:42 UTC#3,247
Same as FMS, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I agree with everything he said.
The movie is hella long, but I think they did it perfect, storyline and everything. It was a movie of a man's life, it just wouldn't of worked if it was a hour and a half movie trying to fit in a bunch of action. A few crossing storylines and some cool motifs throughout. I definitely recommend, but don't go and expect a normal movie.

Did you see the trailer? Clint is cool as fuck.
29 December 2008, 01:12 UTC#3,257
The pledge. Great movie, seriously awesome. The mood in it so depressing. In a very manly way. And the look of the shots combined with soundtrack are often hypnotic. Great actors as well. Got prefer sean Penn as director

And, no Im not sorry for the double post.
29 December 2008, 03:08 UTC#3,258
The fracture. Goddamn bad. Lots of plotholes and poorly build characters. Specially the characters, lots of missing motives and there is characters that aint really related to the plot at all. Dunno, just one bad movie. I watched it to the end because I wanted to see the conclusion, but I didnt enjoy it a one bit.
And, no Im not sorry for the triple post.
29 December 2008, 03:35 UTC#3,259
Hahahaha Triple Post fail.
I'll allow it.
29 December 2008, 04:59 UTC#3,260
Burn After Reading.
Shit. Not at all what I was expecting. Although Brad Pitt had me laughing.
Also, The Spirit.
Also shit. Jackson was awesome it in, as always. But otherwise total shit.
29 December 2008, 14:38 UTC#3,261
Natural Born Killers - fucked-up editing got a bit jarring at times but incredibly strong performances pulled it through. Very entertaining.
High School Musical - FOR LIKE 20 MINS JUST BECAUSE IT WAS ON TV, even more shit than I could have imagined, and I expected it to be shit. The biggest pile of fail I have ever seen in my entire life. Not even so bad that it became good again. You think the least they could do was make sure to open their fucking mouths when the dubbed singing came on, but they couldn't even get that right. Sheer and utter terrible, I hope I never have to look at it ever again.
29 December 2008, 14:48 UTC#3,262
Just finished watching Season 1 of Jericho and I really want more. Sucks that the second season is only 7 episodes before it was cancelled.
29 December 2008, 14:51 UTC#3,263

29 December 2008, 18:32 UTC#3,264
godfather III - perfect, dunno bout' the sofia coppola hate, didnt care bout her that much.
Naked Gun 2 1/2 - I can't get enough of this movies, have seen them thousands of times and I still laugh at every single joke. I love them.
29 December 2008, 18:38 UTC#3,265
Watching The Game now. Fucking amazing.
29 December 2008, 18:38 UTC#3,266
Much of the hate is because the two previous ones are in a class of their own. Godfather 3 is just an mediocre to a little above average mobster movie that cashed in on the success of the first two. But there are far worse widely recognized mob movies no doubt about that. And Sofia Coppola goes by but no way would she have got the part if it wasn't for papi. With a potato for a nose like she's got, how could she possibly be the offspring of Michael Corleone and Kay? I dunno, she's probably hot to you all who found Maggie Gyllenhaal hot in the other thread..
29 December 2008, 18:43 UTC#3,267
I fell in love with Maggie Gyllenhaal in Stranger Than Fiction ):

Rewatched the LSD Riders DVD. That fucking machete stunt still makes me cringe like a little girl watching her puppy being ripped in half.
30 December 2008, 00:15 UTC#3,270
I finally watched the Dark Knight on the way home from Corpus Christi last night. I really liked it, although I saw it on an eight inch screen.
The best scene has to be when the Joker is walking out of the hospital in the nurse outfit as it's exploding. So epic.
