Moody, when do you need footage by(for the sequel) I'm pretty sure that you mentioned it would be some weeks? Cause I'm thinking of holding off the "Life As We Know It" dvd to film for you being as there seems to be some perks for it and some opportunities to entertain on a grand scale, and I think that the stuff we have relative ideas to film will be pretty fun and intense. But if you need the footage within a couple weeks I'm probably just gonna have to call that idea off because the amount of times the boys and I get together to film is inadequate for a short time span, because everyone is lazy. Who's gotten paid and actual tangable benefits so far? People who have gotten deals or whatever are those the real thing and is that really going to happen? And can any group send in footage? Because for the last homegrown collection you took referals first from homegrown people on who were the most acceptable groups, but no one knows about our group so that doesnt really work out (thats just because we havent shown anything to homegrown, fair enough). Lemme know, it was just a thought im not sure we'd do it but im just making sure that if we wanted to it'd be a possible and worthwhile effort.
-Bruce

im gonna try to answer everything for you...

I need footage within 2 weeks. some groups can send footage in 3-4 weeks if they need more time but groups taht can send footage now need to send it out now so we can start the editing process.

all groups involved will be paid. groups in the first hgc dvd get paid in late june or sooner depending on what deals are finished by then. muppets will be paid money next week since one of their clips sold to a tv show.

groups submitting footage will have footage possibly on tv shows, as well as the hollymood entertainment show being pitched, sold on mobile phone world wide, promoted on new websites im debuting soon that will be promoted all over the net on websites just like you see the press releases always on wrestling websites, pr releases, etc... also making money off the dvds.

any group can send in and submit footage.

Hey moody, if we wanted to film for the sequal, would the deadline cause it to be worthwhile if we were to start filming now? (thats basically a summation of my last post)

you're best off sending old footage for now. I need the footage sent out in about 2 weeks. so you can send out whatever you have ready.

QUOTE(YATES @ Apr 23 2006, 05:39 PM)

haha yeah. Im just sayin it would be easier for us to be able to use songs from artists we are familiar with instead of having to go through all this indie stuff and find stuff we like.

its not time to get spoiled. the music in the next dvds will be better than the music in the original hgc dvd.

Promote it here, you'll be IP banned.

for somebody I've been cool with and offering help to, you sure are quick to say something not necessary, especially since your entire website is about promoting on other websites/forums.

paypal doesn't have a stat sheet as far as I know. I've never seen that option. tell me where it is in paypal.

we have to go through the shipping records and count how many homegrown copies went out in each shipment, then find out which copies were sent out for promotional uses, and which were sales, which were sold discounted with the new jack dvd in the combo deal, etc...

sine new jack and homegrown collection were released there has been several hundreds of orders. in paypal when you go to recent transactions ot view all transactions, they show the sellers name, amount total and date for each purchase but then for each purchase you need to click on it to find out which item they bought. I don't have the time to sit down and dig through over 400 purchase reports counting how many sales there were for the Homegrown Collection. A worker of mine will be doing that in June.

sorry but I don't see anyway on paypal to get a huge bulk sale report.

what you guys don't understand is all the costs that are put into this. for starters, before the dvd was even released, probably 3,000 was spent just in post production and replicating DVDs so it's nice to try to recoop that money + artwork + packaging + advertising costs + paying workers, paying for shipping on promotional copies of the DVD to groups involved and DVD reviewers. factor in also minor business costs such as, website, work related bills such as phone and internet, then also spending money producing new DVDs.

it's a pretty big undertaking, sometimes more money goes out than money comes in when you get hit hard with bills at the same time, etc... but it's a fun business and everybody will be paid on time.

Lol. Whats that got to do with paying the groups? your the manager/owner so the costs of the dvds sent to people has nothing to do with the groups cut.

Dan G. has to be the sickest fellow found on this disc; in one scene, he places about a dozen thumbtacks face-up on the floor, lays down with his face inches above them, and allows another guy to stomp his face down into them. He hammers a nail through his fingernail, uses a power-drill to insert a screw into his arm, staples beer cans to his face, and many other equally disturbing things during his alloted time on the release.

Here's a new online review for The Homegrown Collection DVD.

Some things the reviewer says you will agree with but some things he says, you will not like.

Thats a good review actually.

Maybe he has gotten the Jackass thing the wrong way around, but it prolly does seem that way too other people.

The Homegrown Collection is going to be a huge label. Probably 4-6 DVDs total in The Homegrown Collection series as long as there's enough quality and unique footage to make 5-6 uniquely identifiable DVDs but that shouldn't be a problem at all because there are so many groups and so many different styles.

I don't want to give out the new theme song and it's not really a new theme song for the series yet for sure, that's up to the groups involved. I want to see people's responses first because personally I feel it is a bad ass song and something totally unexpected for this kind of content.

it has a lot to do with making the groups the maximum amount of money possible because without any of the things I just mentioned, the homegrown collection dvd won't make any of the groups any money.

we need some more groups involved in the next homegrown collection and the tv show pilot so hit me up at
