for starters, im not trying to compete with any other website if ihomegrown is put online. its a website for you guys. I'm not trying to control it. I rather a team of 3 or 4 guys from here work togther and make it a kick ass website.

some good news really quick, I licensed a famous song for the homegrown collection dvds... and I'm thinking it will be the new theme song for the series. I'm trying to get more famous songs.

so which groups want to be involved? who's submitting footage?

I respect all homegrown groups (being involved in a group myself) but I just want to point out without being on either side of things, Elliot's backlash of "its a rip off get your own idea" is true and ironic because this entire community is based on ripoffs of shows and stuff. I hate to admit it because that includes myself having been motivated by other shows or movies, but in the end, even if you grow to harder stunts than you're influences you're still sort of a ripoff. Hate me for it but its the truth? In other events moody seems like he's getting things done but it is a little sketchy and I think in his interest he shouldnt play everything up as much as he does becuase if it fails or faulters somewhat whether it's his fault or not, then everyone is gonna be on his ass and dissapointed in him.

pretty much, I can get in touch with about 90% of the bands or their management at least. then it's up to me to pitch the video to them and if they like it they'll let me use it for free.

the song I got for the homegrown collection is a remake of a classic song. as of right now I'm keeping the song a secret until I release it in a trailer.... so be patient becuase as a surprise it's something cool I feel.

I got one thing to say to that; no one can do something new ALL the time, there's not that much stiuff to do. so ofcourse some stuff will be repeated.

I already am...

also, the tv show idea is just an idea attached to all the footage from the homegrown collection and the other footage I obtain for the sequels to the dvd series.

this is just an idea and format I'm thinking of and it is different than world of stupid. the network or channel might love the footage but want to change the format and concept. when you go into these meetings they will give you approval but they have final say in format.

Marc, I agree with you totally. Every peice of art or movie or song is a ripoff of another. I just mean technically. I think that a real rip off group would only do stunts they see on the shows or whatever. Good groups who do their own thing with their freinds may see those same stunts, but manipulate them in a way that will be related, but in a worse location on the body, or using different stunts together to create an activity that you can recognize the influences, but you see where the group's creativity and style came in as well.

Oh, and moody. I think sometimes you just get too excited with the things you're dealing with. Such as meetings dealing with this and that about things that MIGHT happen. I just think that even though you're excited with whats going on, it shouldnt be considered news until its more than maybe a little idea floating around between people get things done you know what I mean? I'm sure this isnt going to stop you from one thing or another but just some advice. I have the same problem. I mentioned our dvd in progress or coming soon when we first started editing and it seemed like we'd have it finished by the end of the week becasue we planned on working on it everyday. two weeks later we hung out once or twice and edited the dvd.... so yeah people end up waiting longer than neccesary cause I opened my mouth too soon. Whatevs, later.

I don't mean to get people overly excited about something that won't happen. everything I post here is confirmed and unless I was 95% sure it would happen, it wouldn't be posted here. when the dvd is going to sell on commercials and be pushed hard like the best of byw dvd series, I feel that's something to share and be excited about.

So Moody... Is the DVD going to be in shops worldwide? Will it get on websites like amazon? And will it even get TV ad? And if its a yes when? because the DVD has been out awhile now and I would have thought it would have happened when it first came out... But all I see if you asking people to vote for it from here to promote it... which is bad.

here's the deal... when you release dvds, sometimes distributors don't want you releasing it on the internet or independently until they sign it to a deal. only reason they do that is because they don't want other distributors to know about your product that is available.

plus, only north american distriburos care about that and personally I don't cae about n. american store distributors because im dealing with telelvision commericials.

store disitributors will get you like $2 a dvd maybe less, maybe more if you're lucky. my commercial tv distribution gets me $6-$7 a DVD. I laugh at n. american distributors that offer me shit deals + I've been in the business long enough to know that most of the store distribution companies are conmen, not all buy a lot of those companies don't pay or they figure out ways not to pay.

right now for n. america the plan is to do tv commercial distribution which also ties into the online sales, the dvd will be available everywhere like amazon, buy.com, deepdiscountdvd.com, etc... everywhere online and when tv commercial sales slow down on the first dvd or dvds, they will be released in stores. probably like 1 to 2 months after the tv distribution starts up.

I'm not in a rush to sign a shit distribution deal. I wait and sign good deal.

also, having people promote the dvd online for me is the best thing that can be done. it would be nice if everybody came together and helped plugged something that someway you're associated with becuase they're your friends or whatever.

this is just an opportunity for everybody. the dvd series, the tv show, the websites, everything will represent you guys so it would be nice to have everybody involved. and if this thing takes off I'm sure there's going to be some break out groups that will be getting great opportunities presented to them.

Moody, when do you need footage by(for the sequel) I'm pretty sure that you mentioned it would be some weeks? Cause I'm thinking of holding off the "Life As We Know It" dvd to film for you being as there seems to be some perks for it and some opportunities to entertain on a grand scale, and I think that the stuff we have relative ideas to film will be pretty fun and intense. But if you need the footage within a couple weeks I'm probably just gonna have to call that idea off because the amount of times the boys and I get together to film is inadequate for a short time span, because everyone is lazy. Who's gotten paid and actual tangable benefits so far? People who have gotten deals or whatever are those the real thing and is that really going to happen? And can any group send in footage? Because for the last homegrown collection you took referals first from homegrown people on who were the most acceptable groups, but no one knows about our group so that doesnt really work out (thats just because we havent shown anything to homegrown, fair enough). Lemme know, it was just a thought im not sure we'd do it but im just making sure that if we wanted to it'd be a possible and worthwhile effort.

I did vote and plug the dvd when you asked... I like to help out groups all I can but I dont think voting on some website will get half the deas signing these deasl would. if only say 2 dollers is what normal DVDs make then thats life I guess, and if millions of sales come from it then its worth it in the end and makes the groups involved happy.

But yeah you know what your talking about guess so wewill have to wait and see.

I just want my DVD :(

Agreed Elliot, as that is on a grander scale. I do see how his idea seems exactly the same, but if he's watched WOS and claims its different without lying I'd be interested to see how exactly. Hey moody, if we wanted to film for the sequal, would the deadline cause it to be worthwhile if we were to start filming now? (thats basically a summation of my last post)
