How would I be able to play it? That JFK game was just a demo on the site...

There's nothing wrong with this game. You're right when you say there's no comparing 9/11 to WW2. WW2 was so infinitely worse than 9/11 for so many more people. I think this game should be about trying to stop Bush from carrying out the 9/11 plot in the first place and if you fail, you have to make it out of the towers. I don't see too much of a difference between this and any other game centered around war in the Middle East. It's just another facet of the war that no one's had the balls to touch because there's this mentality of sacredness around 9/11. It's such a sad thing for the nation, we were wrongly attacked, we need to do something about it. I'm telling you a game, killing Bush before he can carry out the 9/11 plot would be keen.

Nah. War uses Solders. None died in this. War is war and thats very different from normal people dieing for nothing. And its also very fresh in peoples mind. This is just made to piss people off and make the headlines.
If a game is ever to be made of this it should be made about the Firemen saving the people as they were the heroes in it. Alot died doing there job. A bunch of fag game designers need to get a reality check.
And the whole Bush thing... Thats got nothing to do with it... if you belive that crap.
08 January 2006, 00:49 UTC#35
I know, normal people did die for nothing, and that's what's upsetting about it. And I mean it in a sense that 9/11 was the main reason Bush was able to invade Iraq, in a war, where soldiers have died. And 33,000 normal people as well, just like those in the Towers.
08 January 2006, 00:54 UTC#36
I dont care about the people in them towns. And the soldiers who died it was there job... sad (I do really think its sad). But games of that is fine as its life.
But yeah... if I was in the army I would not want to fight in this war as I dont see it as something id fight for. But still... This isabout a tower that was blown up. And alot of people died and firemen. Not at thing to make a game about
08 January 2006, 00:57 UTC#37
I do see your point. And evil people do exist in the world and that's life too. Video games reflect what happens in real life in some way or another. Using a real event such as this and re-creating it isn't neccesarily disrepectful or meant to piss people off though. Just as people making the WW2 games don't make it to piss people off, they make it to entertain, to reflect the events that have lead us to where we are now.
08 January 2006, 00:59 UTC#38
I like the concept of the game though. I also like how they say some spawn points can only be death traps or ones that lead out. The items look good. Cell phones for light, townels for mouth masks.
08 January 2006, 01:02 UTC#39
So you think the peopel who made it did it for that reason? Tahts why they have people falling out of windows on there main page? Its got fuck all to do with that. There is much better ways to make a game like this and not use events taht will piss people off and make people remember thekids and family that died in a disrespectful way. soldiers die doig what they believe in and there family can be proud of that. the only family taht can be proud in this is the firemen and the people who helped plan it.
Thats why War is differnt to this
08 January 2006, 01:14 UTC#40
Yes, war is different in that in Iraq, children have been killed, (estimated over 1,000). In 9/11, not a single child was injured, thankfully. It was in the moring, during school hours. And I really don't believe they made this game just to say, "HAHA look at these people suffer and die! HA HA!!1!" They wouldn't have the intuitive gameplay and random spawn-outcome in the game that Hookedonlemons mentioned if they only wanted to piss people off. If they wanted to piss people off, they could be gratuitous, they can go beyond the realm of reality to make the people suffer. Remember, the objective of the game is to survive the towers, not suffer and die in them. It's objective is life. It's purpose is a stab towards life in the bleakest of situations, not a leap into oblivion with no hope in sight.

You could quite easyily make a game like that without using this.
Very easy. And prob make a better game. The reason this is made is to strike a spark in people and get kids who think everyone on TV is real and that people die like they do in movies and game to buy/play it.
Ill find some vids for you to watch of it... And think while watching them about there familys and think what they will be like if they ever see this game.

That JFK assasin game they made was pretty sweet in all honesty.
I actually bought that one time, it was fun as hell.

I agree with you completely. They probably just used 9/11 because it's something everyone is familiar with and everyone knows about. Just like WWII or Iraq War games. And I know that people that see this game that had family in 9/11 will not be happy. But I also know of thousands of Jewish people that protested the Medal of Honor series when they first started being made because it present the Holacaust in a light way so they could be rated T. I know all of those Ascedic Jews that didn't want the Passion of the Christ to be released because it presented the Jewish people as Christkillers. The point is, no matter what you do when presenting historical events in your own way, you're going to piss someone off.

its like cancer, you will all find it funny in about 2 years
I for one already find it funny, I found it funny on the day hehehe its still brings me giggles 911

But dont you see it as your an American? This shit happened on your soil. And it will be your peoplewho you see burning in this game.
if I play a WW2 game id be the British people and if one died in it then it would have just been his job.... And he knew what was happening. but yeah its a game.
Its like someone making a game based on a child pedo. You gota learn how to trick kids... sick... but could make a great game I bet... but its sick.
Its just that death now we see everyday on TV and do it in games.... so were not effected by it anymore. But thats still no reason to spit in the faces of the people who died in the trade center
