I like this, you get tons of ideas, but you can't do shit until it's your turn, and by then you can't really do anything you had planned because you dunno where the piece before you is gonna go.

you select the edge, go to select on the toolbar, go to feather, insert something around 10px, depending on how much you want it to fade, higher means more of course. then press delete. and viola, feathered.
