Hockey is not as violent as it may seem. Except maybe in some shitty beer leagues in Quebec where there are like 6 fights per game. The fights are just a seasoning added to an intense and incredibly fast game. It's not like people go to hockey games to see a fight (I hope), but when they do happen they just add more intensity to the game.
Dunno how Slavin feels about this because people tend to have pretty differentiated opinions both sides of the Atlantic. I'm pro-fight though, as long as it doesn't happen 5 times a game, every game through the season.
I agree with what ben says about hockey, altho sometimes I dont mind seeing 5 different fights a game or a big brawl because all the emotions from on ice and off ice mix in their and after that it calms down but the game is still amazing. hockeys an emotional game, I know that sounds gay
