ok I was in Game yesterday looking to buy either a PS3 or a 360, and I asked the guy about the problems they have, and he said something about a red ring of death for the 360, does that happen often? Cause im considering buying one cause its cheaper or should I I just buy the PS3?

and the reason he said about the 360's RROD is because he was probably trying to sway you into buying a PS3.. I heard that in some GAME stores the sales person receives a comission on every system sold, I'd say he may get moRe on the ps3 than he would for a 360

QFT, happened when me and Matt went to pick up a 'Box. Despite repeating over and over that we wanted an XBox and that was the express reason we were there, the googly-eyed salesman tried to push a PS3 onto us like he thought we were gullible pricks. Frankly I was offended.

GAME staff don't get commission on PS3s, but due to their higher price they'd probably want to sell you one. Or it could just be the fact no one fucking buys them and they have tonnes to shift.

It's strange because store policy is never to push stuff on people too hard, maybe that's why I didn't get my contract renewed :(

But Gordon Brown is thought to be keen to reclassify to "B" as he is worried about the "more lethal" use of skunk - a stronger form of the drug.

How can something that cannot kill you be 'more lethal'?

I think the police have said they wont be taking any tougher stance on the drug as it's a waste of resources.

Just leagalize the stuff and make money off the tax, control the drug, make 'safer' strains. Simple.

That's one of the reasons it's highly unlikely they will legalise it because it would be very hard to control and tax because it could easily be grown out home and outdoors for cheaper. Alcohol and tobacco are much more damaging, but can be regulated and taxed easily. Alcohol can be brewed at home but it's not very cost effective.

Well then just leagalise it being bought from liscened places. I dunno, but imo drugs should be all leagalised and regulated heavily, same with prostitution...driving thigns underground dosnt help anyone.

I used to smoke it back in the day, but I find it so pointless now. I just see so many people I'd hate to associate with smoking it and it reminds me how much I don't want to be like them.

plus it randomly started making me feel ill whenever I was near it.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Every lame person I've met in my life has at least claimed to smoke pot regularly.

You ever tried it Ray?

It makes sense that lame people would smoke it because it makes even the most boring shit tolerable, but usually when I smoke I go places and do shit.

I know I sound narrow-minded as hell. I've never tried it. But, when I have kids (and I plan to have at least 4) I want to be able to expect them not to smoke pot and drink underage. I don't want to be a hypocritical parent and say, "I may have, but that doesn't mean you can." I want to be one of the few parents that said, I never did, and you're not going to either.

Plus (not to bring up kids again, but they constitute the majority of my time) I want to be able to tell the kids I work with now that there are other options when it comes to drinking and drugs. I hate hypocrisy and if I went out and smoked and drank even on weekends, and then come Monday, went into work and preached to the kids about how they have better things to do than drugs, I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

Well I think everyone should be able to abuse whatever substances they want when they're old enough, but as a child weed can really damage your developing brain.

Good for you though man (really, not sarcasm) I hope it works out for you.

I always just lie to kids and tell them I smoke cigars.

But it is true that are far better and more rewarding things to do - it just never hurts to kick back with a beer and ciggie at the end of the week.

Fair play to you, Ray. It means a lot for a guy to actually have some principles, and that's cool if that's what makes you happy. But despite everything, it's not the case that only losers and wasters do recreational drugs and get drunk when they're having a good time: even if it seems they constitute the majority.
