I need a fisheye lens, my camcorder thread size is a 30mm, I know all I need is a 30mm Fisheye, or maybe and adapter thingy, to make it bigger/smaller.

All I really need to know is, what is a good make for Fisheye Lenses, like Raynox, or are they all as good as each other? Also a good place to get them from, I'll have a look in this thread aswell anyway.

Also Im going to be filming stunts and skits again soon.
So I need to know what a good "zoom" I should get, like 0.6x??

The last time we filmed skits, like indoor, we had a problem with it being to close, and not being able to fit us on, when we needed to place it, if nobody could film.
Also we film stunts, so what would be a good "zoom" to get, or whatever its called? To fit both purposes, we dont really want it too "rounded" and well no black edges if thats possible.
Are there any pictures of each size like?
Is 0.1x very "rounded" or is it the higher the zoom the more rounded it is?

Thanks.

I have HC22. I like that it small and low ligth quality is good and nightshot is best I´ve used. But I hate the fact that allmost every plug is in the station, not in the camera. And that you have to use the touch screen, Im afraid that I break taht soonish. Those are minor problems compared to the lens.... Do you guys get that annoying lensflare effect easily? I get it very easily and often, sucks.

But yeah you have to buy a ring for it, those are just like few bucks.

Well as Vode said you do get lense flairs easily, Also I use to have a really REALLY big and chunky camera…I really liked it because you could hold it more easily without it shaking ever were, Also what dick thought up of touch screen it’s a shit idea… so now if I want to fast forward etc the screen gets a nice big finger print on it. Also with my camera the heads because dirty within 3 weeks of owning it. But my old camera I had it for more that a year before it started to do that. Also with my old camera it use to fit a fisheye perfectly but my new one I have to blue tack it. Also… im not to shore if this is true but Apparently if you want a mike for it you have to by Sony’s make for it other wise the others mike’s wont fit the shoe (That’s what I have been told..)

Its actually hard to find similar fisheyes to that cokin. Havent found a single one in europe actually. Wilbur posted link to similar fishy thats sold in usa, Kenko swg 43 or sumthing. But yes if you want that you have to order it overseas.

I got a dcr-hc 32 how would I go about attaching one to it?
22 January 2006, 21:37 UTC#55
I'm 99% sure that's about the same as my old camera, and you will need to get a stepring, as your camera has a 25mm thread, and most fisheye won't fit on that shit.
