Image file not present in the recovered backup I'm sorry, but if I could re-visit that one issue -- perhaps you'd want to check if there are national or international laws reguarding that type of content before you make such unruly assumptions.
That type of content is illegal here in America, and I'm sure it is in many other countries, too, if not everywhere. You, supporting by allowing it, could be held responsible for it and fined or prosecuted.
Karl, I'm just looking out for you; don't make the wrong move. Image file not present in the recovered backup

ACTUALLY
your wrong
you must be thinking of child pornography, which is illegal in the U.S.
the only reason it wasnt allowed on the last server, was due to the rule that said its not, but now with the new server, it is allowed.

Wheres the server based?

30 October 2005, 02:24 UTC#37
Well okay Karl, at least you've done your research.... I can't say I'm at all supportive of it, though.
DisturbedFilms.com as we know it could be gone forever Image file not present in the recovered backup .

I manage that, he manages the site

But legal adult content, as long as you include an inital disclaimer is perfectly legal. I like the ideas you guys have, could develop dfilms into a supersite if you get lucky.
And Doyle, dfilms is only JUST breaking even, as Chris can't get people to pay their bills promptly, but that'll all change with the release of HGD when Chris gets 40% of our profit for services supported with his equipment.
30 October 2005, 02:41 UTC#39
speaking of that, when is hgd being released

30 October 2005, 03:15 UTC#40
When I say that Karl has too much time on his hands, I mean that for pretty much all of his computer-related stuff

.
I know you're the guy who does that stuff gman. My site 'goes down' with the rest of them

Yep

The design looks awesome, cant wait to have it live on the site, and there will be a search box on top rightish above nav bar, I dont think there are any flaws in this design.
30 October 2005, 14:55 UTC#44
Are there laws about uploading music to the site? Because I dont understand why more people haven't done it.
EDIT: Is it the piracy thing?
30 October 2005, 15:05 UTC#45
yeah I think thats why
stupid copyright stuff
its legal if the person has the rights to it, such as it being there own band, or a band that says ok, or someone they pay, not sure though.
But go ahead and upload music you want,
if we get emails we will just take it down,

if it gets to be a lot of email, then we ll just ask people to stop uploading widely known stuff
30 October 2005, 15:07 UTC#46
Yeah I guess if you had a 'Music' section it would kind of look like you support it.. Image file not present in the recovered backup

Is there a way you can keep the original filenames, so when you download a clip it isn't called something like 7hh9jfkarlisreallyhiot9t358935 ?
