Its sony´s wide angle 0.7 vlc something I think. I pretty much have it always attached pecause it widens the frame, but doesnt really affect the picture quality. I got a great bargain for two used wide angles, adapter rings and three filters. All for something like 25€

I also have some semi fisheyes, but I dont have them attahced all times.

Rode has been great, mut Id probs go with the cheap senheiser if I had the extra 100€. But price-quality is awesome with Rode. Id say go for it.
