I just wanted to remind everybody that the footage for the Homegrown production should be sent out a in a few days to me. With a few groups, that I've already spoken to, they will have extra time to send in the footage to get everything organized.
If you haven't contacted me about submitting footage for the DVD, you can contact me and have some extra time to send in your footage because right now my editor is importing footage for the New Jack documentary and some editing and then importing footage of the Homegrown footage, so there's about 2 weeks of down time that I can still recieve footage. Just contact me and let me know that you want to be involved and we'll organize everything.
If you've been border line on being involved or not feel free to ask me any questions you have about the production. You can ask me in the thread, email me or pm me or call me on my cell phone at (626) 665-7571.
Short Bus will also be in the DVD, so I'm including some old school Homegrown footage in the production. The DVD will end up being something different than what has been released in previous DVDs, different style, and with the editor I have on board the production is going to have a really high quality production feel to it.

For starters I want this to be the first DVD of a series of DVDs, so I'm not here to cheat or steal from you guys. Earning your respect is what I need to do to make that happen. If I screw anybody with this DVD none of you will ever trust me again, so that isn't going to be happening.
Secondly, Elliot got a license form that works for me and for the groups involved that limits how I can use the footage. Everything is legit. You own the rights to your footage, nothing can change that. Your footage is yours, you own it. I am simlpy using it in the DVD. I will copyright the finished DVD but you all still own the footage that you submit to me.

With editing starting full swing in about 2-3 weeks I would imagine about a month after that it would be finished. Depends really on the editor and how complex of editing he does. I would imagine it could be finished by the end of October, early November.

You won't be let down. With the groups involved and the editor I have doing the editing, the DVD will be quality. I want a few more great groups involved but that's about it, its up to them to get involved.

honestly, Id recommend giving a shot....you really dont have nothing to lose....and its not like he hasent done a dvd before. if people want this to be a success, then people need to submit footage to make it worthwhile to watch.

The goal is for this to be a series. It really depends on the success of the first DVD, which makes it even more important to stack this DVD with quality footage. Literally I'm giving the HGF an open door to have your footage selling on store shelves all over the world, N America, Europe and Australia/New Zealand. You guys should be really excited about the opportunity but I can't control your emotions.
Seriously though, the doors open, it's up to you guys to walk through it.

Elliot's one of the only people on here that has the knowledge and true experience in handling these situations and I would at the very least read what he has to say and appreciate his input on the matter. He's doing us a favor, not himself. He has nothing to gain. I do agree with Yates though, there isn't much to lose for most of the groups, but only if it's done right and Elliot is helping it be done that way...

very true but we have heard elliot saying the same negative things about trust and stuff for quiet awhile now so I think at this point everyone involved knows the issues that elliot has with moody
