Go fuck yourself Moody.

Dude, all I ever did was try to stop you ripping of the groups (which is what you came here to do? Remember?)
What did you offer them at the start?
What are you offering them now?
Get my point? If you want to be a smartarse about it go ahead.
Also, how many groups have you got on board at the moment? I dont mean "how many groups have said yes" I mean, how many groups have sent in footage?
Also, Vodes right.. You cant edit something without music unless you want it to look average.

I look foward to vodes edit/part in this dvd the most

Im goddamn spoiled brat and I will only send a edited piece. So before I send footage I have to get song that I like and edit to it. So if you want me involved you should send me more songs to listen.
And I would also like to know the dteails: How long is every groups segment? Hows the % shared?

What kind of music do you want to use for your part?
If your groups section is 20 minutes long and the DVD runs 100 minutes that would be 1/5 of the DVD and you would recieve 1/5 of the royalties that will be paid to the groups. The DVD will be longer than that but that is just a brief example on how this works.

I'm really considering this.
10 August 2005, 18:48 UTC#67
id like to see a dan-g part in this dvd

I got some good news that I wanted to share with everybody. I have 5-6 productions nearing the editing stages right now so I've been looking for some new editors and today I have a meeting with the editor that I want to have handle the Homegrown DVD. This guy shot footage and did editing on the bonus sections of The Lord of the Rings "The Two Towers" and also on the "The Fellowship of the Ring". He also did a lot of editing for the Lion King Platinum Edition DVD and Treasure Planet - Special Edition DVD and tons of other productions. I know Disney Movies are totally different than Homegrown but it gives you a good idea of what level this editor is considered. I'm really happy to be working with this guy and he'll add a lot to the productions. Just wanted to let you guys know the good news.

Why dont u approach people in a personal way, if they want to submit call them for details .. be clear etc... and telling other people to fuck off isnt very professional now is it.. damn.

Sounds... meh. over 100 minute dvd... k, whatevah man.
10 August 2005, 21:02 UTC#72
If I ever bought a dvd that long, I wouldn't be able to watch it all in one sitting.
10 August 2005, 22:24 UTC#73
My last DVD release was about 300 minutes long, so 100 minutes is nothing to me.
I come off professional I feel but a couple individuals get to the point of being annoying so I'll freely speak the words I choose without regret.
I've posted my phone number before on this board for people to contact me on a personal level but nobody called. Any groups that want to speak with me about the DVD that are already submitting footage or groups that are borderline still deciding if they want to submit footage can contact me at (626) 665-7571.
Thanks,
Michael Moody

The Rise and Fall of ECW DVD was 3 hours long and I personally really enjoyed that and felt it was worth the money. So I put together 101 Reasons not to be a Pro Wrestler with that same idea in mind and made a 3 hour main feature and then there's nearly 2 hours of bonus footage. Wrestling fans like a lot of content so that worked.
With the Homegrown DVD I expect it to be long, not sure how long but since it is broken up into groups it is easy for viewers to watch it in several 2 or 3 sittings or the DVD can be made into a box set, either way.

sounds good to me, I tried calling your number last friday though and it said it was disconnected? whats sup with that, not trying to be a pickled egg or anything though............ I'm just saying it seemed kind of weird.
I'm not dissin you elliot but it seems you have a big head just because you have a dvd out or something dude why are you so hostile? If you are so negative about it than just don't have anything to do with it instead of just heckling the shit out of moody? just a question and opinion so don't go all hostile on me too
11 August 2005, 00:59 UTC#81
I hope all works out and I get a free dvd
11 August 2005, 01:20 UTC#82
Buckwild.. I dont like the way Moody conducts business. Ive known of his dealing and projects for 4 years. Ive had dealings with him before as have some of the other older groups on here (all which refuse to do business with him for the same reason)
I was pretty pissed off that he tried to rip off groups and give them nothing for their footage and I made up a new license so the people that were involved were protected. So if that makes me have a big head, whatever.
Whats the fact that I have a DVD out have to do with anything? If anything, it would make me aware of how things work in the industry and thats exactly why Ive been pulling moody up on all his shortcomings with this production.

Elliot knows his shit and is well respected around here. Listen to him.

I was going to be giving back to the involved groups funding with the revenue from the DVD, with Elliot he put the terms in writing so that I thank him for. Everything's legit and I was working for a production company before that called all the shots, I just had to do business by their rules. Now I work for myself and I can accomadate groups better and make it worth people's time. Everything will go well.

Man, what a stand-up guy! Giving out a number where the entire world wide web can contact him if necessary if they have any questions concerning the production of this DVD! That only validates his integrity and demonstrates his level of professionalism that he plans to contribute to this DVD and it's participants! If only that were true.

Haha, easy killer. Didn't mean to spout too many non-sensicalisms at you haha. I see those seem to strike a nerve. Just saying that this "realdeal" will turn out to be a rawdeal. With you profiting off of these hard-working group's footage. I am all for the idea, just think we should be able to do it ourselves if we need it. You're not one of us, you're an outsider looking in, trying to exploit our work for your pocket and I don't think that's cool. Not to piss you off or start any wars on here, just saying that I disagree with you and everything you stand for...
