I have talked to countless christians and they have said close to what you said(Or rather implyed)about other relgions.

The only "proof" there is was written by people who don't have an objective viewpoint. Evolution has been extensively researched, and has evidence that has held up to scrutiny. The "theory" of Creationism has floated on faith alone. It's technically not even a theory.

I think chistians use the word 'proof' rather openly. They probally mean through christian experiences rather then actual facts about it being correct.
Christianity is a relion based on faith, so I could see exactly why none of you believe in it just from what you have heard about it, but when you experience it, its a whole different thing.
I know I keep going back to the whole experience thing, but its a big part in it.

I chose "other" basically because im undecided. Frankly christians scare the hell outta me. The ones Ive encountered keep pictures of abortion babies in their locker and try to get the school to stop distributing birth control. These are catholic kids though. Im not knockin every religion. It just seems like theres too much guilt involved and if thats what it means to believe in god than I would rather not believe in anything.

"beliefs are dangerous. beliefs allow the mind to stop functioning. a non-functioning mind is clinically dead. believe in nothing."

I guess this depends on what GOD is in most peoples eyes. I dont think I believe something made us like is told in the bible.... But for me to say that we just came from nothing and the whole galaxy just came from nothing would be stupid... because I dont know this.

Most people think if you believe in GOD you believe in the Bible.... I dont see why this has to be though... the bible to me is just alot of storys that mostly have no facts. I could list hundreds of things that are totaly wrong in the bible and even things that do not exist that are talked about in the bible.

The big thing that I find quite funny is Genesis.... ANyone who really believes this "story" really needs to learn some science.

For anyoen who does read bellow:
QUOTE
# The Genesis 1 creation account conflicts with the order of events that are known to science. In Genesis, the earth is created before light and stars, birds and whales before reptiles and insects, and flowering plants before any animals. The true order of events was just the opposite. 1:1-2:3

# God creates light and separates light from darkness, and day from night, on the first day. Yet he didn't make the light producing objects (the sun and the stars) until the fourth day (1:14-19). And how could there be "the evening and the morning" on the first day if there was no sun to mark them? 1:3-5

# God spends one-sixth of his entire creative effort (the second day) working on a solid firmament. This strange structure, which God calls heaven, is intended to separate the higher waters from the lower waters. 1:6-8

# God makes two lights: "the greater light [the sun] to rule the day, and the lesser light [the moon] to rule the night." But the moon is not a light, but only reflects light from the sun. And why, if God made the moon to "rule the night", does it spend half of its time moving through the daytime sky? 1:16

# In Genesis 1 the entire creation takes 6 days, but the universe is at least 12 billion years old, with new stars constantly being formed. 1:31

# God fashions a woman out of one of Adam's ribs.
Because of this story, it was commonly believed (and sometimes it is still said today) that males have one less rib than females. When Vesalius showed in 1543 that the number of ribs was the same in males and females, it created a storm of controversy. 2:19

# "There were giants in the earth in those days." Well, I suppose it's good to know that. But why is there no archaeological evidence for the existence of these giants? 6:4

# Noah is told to make an ark that is 450 feet long. 6:14-15 (If you add it up in "cubics" which is in the bible)

# Noah sends a dove out to see if there was any dry land. But the dove returns without finding any. Then, just seven days later, the dove goes out again and returns with an olive leaf. But how could an olive tree survive the flood? And if any seeds happened to survive, they certainly wouldn't germinate and grow leaves within a seven day period. 8:8-11

# When the animals left the ark, what would they have eaten? There would have been no plants after the ground had been submerged for nearly a year. What would the carnivores have eaten? Whatever prey they ate would have gone extinct. And how did the New World primates or the Australian marsupials find their way back after the flood subsided? 8:19

# Noah kills the "clean beasts" and burns their dead bodies for God. According to 7:8 this would have caused the extinction of all "clean" animals since only two of each were taken onto the ark. 8:20-21

# "The whole earth was of one language." But this could not be true, since by this time (around 2400 BCE) there were already many languages, each unintelligible to the others. 11:1, 6

# God worries that people could build a tower high enough to reach him (them?) in heaven, and that by so doing they will become omnipotent. 11:4-6

# "And they returned to the land of the Philistines." But the Philistines didn't arrive in the region of Canaan until around 1200 BCE -- 800 years after Abraham's supposed migration from your. 21:32, 26:1, 8, 15, 18

And this is just Genesis....

I watched this TV show the otherday "Genesis Revisited" and it talked about the Babaylonians and there gods. What was strange nd amazing is on one of there scrolls they talk about Aliens who made all humans. And in this they say that Earth is the 7th planet in our solar system (To us its the 3rd as we look from the Sun) and they even have a solar system chart which is EXACTLY right! Even in size of all plannets.

Well the only thing that was wrong is it had a 10th planet! As we only had 9! So there is no way we couldhave been the 7th plaen (Counting from out to in)

But we have now found a 10th planet.... just. So this scroll which is around 4000yrs old is perfectly right!

This is too strange! If anyone can watch this WATCH IT! It has AL from Quantum leap presenting it.

Looks like I never posted in this thread.

I'm agnostic. I don't deny that there may be a God, I just think its highly unlikey.
