Rockstar being sued over GTASome 85 year old lady has brought a lawsuit saying she didnt know she had bought such filth for her 14 year old grandson.
making Rockstar recall and fix the HC mod is one thing, but FUCKING SUING THE FUCKING COMPANY FOR "false and deceptive practices." This is just some old cunt taking advantage of the situation. THE FUCKING GAME ISN'T MENT FOR GODDAMN 14 YEAR OLDS!! fuck, this shit really pisses me off.
her lawyer said: "no parent would knowingly buy an adult-only video game for their children."
god, I hate people taking every chance they can to act like the victim of some fucking tradegy.
*heavy sigh*

28 July 2005, 01:40 UTC#4

28 July 2005, 01:56 UTC#5

28 July 2005, 01:57 UTC#6

28 July 2005, 02:04 UTC#7

28 July 2005, 02:06 UTC#8
OMFG!! IM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW I WANNA PUNCH THAT STUPID OLD LADY IN HER WRINKLY FACE! wtf thats so fucked dirty cheap old bitches trying to get money
28 July 2005, 02:08 UTC#9
I dont know but I do know that she will get nowhere with the case. GTA is marketed at people 17 or older it says tha t on the fucking box I mean thats why they have the fucking ratings!
28 July 2005, 03:49 UTC#10
R*(And/Or North) will definately win, theres no way an old lady is gonna win because first of all SHE bought it for her son when she could obviously see its NOT for his age!
28 July 2005, 03:59 UTC#11
what about second of all?
28 July 2005, 04:02 UTC#12
thats retarded. Old hag needs to wake the fuck up.
28 July 2005, 04:13 UTC#13
Anyway this is pretty gay, including that there crying over a sex game. I wana see one 17 year old kid that hasnt fucked or seen hardcore porn. 17 should be mature enough for all this.
28 July 2005, 04:17 UTC#14
Thats beside the point skate.....The game had sex in it therefore it should have been rated AO. R* should have been smart enough to take out the unused code.....But we should talk about this in the other R* thread

28 July 2005, 06:00 UTC#16
Haha I can imagine the shock on her face, as she comes to sit next to her grandson with her tea, to watch him have some fun.... then all of a sudden theres people being run over and shot. haha.
28 July 2005, 06:40 UTC#17
A) It was bought before it was considered AO, so she can't say "I bought an AO game for my grandson"
B) Wouldn't SHE get introuble for buying a game, which legally can't be sold to people under the age it says, to give to him? She DID say she bought it for him.
C) He's under the age. Rockstar wins right there.
28 July 2005, 06:47 UTC#18
Heres how it went. She bought the game before it went AO. Then whenever she heard about the game having "hidden" sex scenes she got all pissed and was like, "I bought this when it was rated 17+ it was false advertising and I would never buy a AO game for my son!"
Stupid bitch is trying to make some quick cash after she heard about the game in the news. It dosent matter she will probally die before it reaches court.
28 July 2005, 06:57 UTC#19
I think the fact she bought an (at the time) mature game for her 14 yr. old grandson should ruin her. Legally the boy can't buy the game. She got it and gave it to him. It's like giving alcohol to a minor.
28 July 2005, 07:07 UTC#20
No its just illegal for stores to sell them to minors not for minors to play them! LMAO who told you it was illegal to play a MA game?
28 July 2005, 07:15 UTC#21
Not to PLAY it. To buy it. The lady bought it for the kid.
Alcohol = bad example.
Cigarettes = better.
Its not illegal to smoke them but it is illegal to buy them at that age. If a legal person is caught supplying the minor the product, doesn't that person get busted?
28 July 2005, 07:19 UTC#22
Well legaly ciggs are illegal for a minor to have also but this is offtopic........If the store I'm trying to get a MA game at are being bitches and not letting me buy the game I just get someone over 18 to buy it for me, Its not illegal at all infact most of the stores will tell me to go get someone to buy it for me so they won't get in trouble.
28 July 2005, 07:20 UTC#23
If cigarettes were illegal for minors you know how many kids outside of schools would be busted each day?
Anyway I think the old lady should lose money in this.
28 July 2005, 07:22 UTC#24
It is illegal its just not inforced man.
28 July 2005, 07:27 UTC#25
I heard somewhere they CAN'T make cigarettes illegal even if they wanted to. It's become so popular, and it's addictive. If they take it away people can get sick (people who are really addicted)
I dunno.

We found 40 states that prohibit minors from purchasing tobacco products. Thirty-one states prohibit minors from possessing tobacco in all circumstances. Five states, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Oregon, and Rhode Island, ban possessing tobacco in limited circumstances, such as in public or on school property. Only five states, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, and South Carolina, have no laws concerning minors and tobacco.

Well I'm in NY so I'm uninformed about the others

28 July 2005, 07:38 UTC#28
In Finland it is illegal to give alcohol or tobacos to minors. And Videos and games are the same thing. I bet its the same in usa. The granny will get busted.
28 July 2005, 07:40 UTC#29
thats what I was saying
28 July 2005, 07:41 UTC#30
Nope, my cousin is 7 years old and he has every Grand Theft Auto. That's like saying they can't watch rated R movies. They can watch them, but their parents must let them.
Plus, I've bought them all on my own. Nobody at the store said anything at all
