anyone seen it yet? I just got back from seeing it, and it kicked so much ass, the effects and audio, just badass. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, anxious to what would happen next.

at first I didn't wanna see this movie because of tom cruise's recent actions that make me hate him a lot. but I did it, and I'm glad I did, and I recommend this without a doubt. sooo, go see it.

yeah, I totally looked beyond the bad of tom in this movie, he doesn't act like a total fag when he's acting... he should act in real life and not for just movies, people would like him more.

I'll paste what I said on the B.I. forums. I don't like alien movies I guess..

"Wow, I get home from watching this movie and I realize that you've made a thread about this piece of shit. I thought it sucked. Why? Because, the son was obviously a fucking idiot. "Lets go fight the aliens 'cause I want to prove to you I'm not a baby by giving up my life" Then, wtf, Tom Cruise kills some dude and they never even show his mutilated corpse! Plus, the kid who ran away, how the fuck did he live? It showed the field he ran into BLOW UP! How the FUCK is he the only one alive?! Then at the end he hugs his dad.

Wow, fucking retarded! "

9.50? for a movie? I guess I'm easily pleased, the ending was gay I agree, his son couldn't have lived, but that was expected, they didn't switch to a scene showing him die or anything, and that little bitch screams too much, but the overall effects and audio, made this movie a piece of my heart.

I saw it, aside from one part, it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I've never gotten into a movie so much. And the effects, simply out of this world. I loved almost all of it.

SPOILERS (Don't read on if you want to be suprised)

The only part I hated was when the creature was sucking Cruise out of the human basket, and everyone grabbed on to him, and pulled him out, as he put the grenades into the robot. Now I thought that was just lame. They could have thought of soemthing better.

Raymond from BorDumB saw it and says this:

The movie blew man, it had some great effects and pretty good presentation, but it had plot holes wider than my mom's vagina and it did a horible job of explaining anything that happened, period. I mean the aliens planted their crafts of destruction under ground trillions of years ago before man even set foot on Earth. Under neath New York and all everywhere else in the earth. News Flash- New York has a dense system of underground railways and literally millions of miles of water lines and gas pipes underground, toss in the fact that we have had seismological studies all over the world especially in a highly populated area like New York for over 50 years now, and you begin to realize that giant alien crafts would have been detected years ago. It's all so shitty. And Spielberg obviously made this his "9/11 movie" by taking advantage of our emotions when the son says, "Are they terrorists?" or maybe how fucking lovey-dovey Cruise gets with his kids at the end, 70% of the world's population was just fucking killed, let's all be happy because somehow both of my kids survived even though I saw my son catch flame right in front of me and die. The world was inches from destruction and we're all happy at the end, his friends died, he saw them die, he doesn't care though! Everyone's happy! YAY for Hollywood! Fuck that. Plus the scene in the crazy dude's cellar (Tim Robbins) when the alien camera things was probing around for humans, and they were hiding from them and all that "close call" bull shit; that was taken almost directly from Jurassic Park, replace a velociraptor with an alien camera and it's the same thing. Spielberg jst rushed the ending and didn't have any new ideas, he didn't even come close to doing HG Wells any symblance of respect and while the movie is obviously not intended for children, with the people being vaporized in clear sight, Spielberg treats the audience like one with the stupid sub-plot with Cruise's development into a "good father and hero". We're all adults, we don't need to be spoon-fed developmental bull shit about how good of a man he is now. We don't care. There was a couple of good parts, like the scene with the van or the fact that Cruise had to take out Tim Robbins in order to ensure the survival of his daughter, but that's about it. Dumb story-line, dumb ending, dumb plot flow, dumb movie, period. Don't waste your money, spend it on renting Team America: World Police.

Does Raymond critcize his meals everyday? "This egg should have more yolk in it because 25% of all eggs have more yolk"

Don't need to state the obvious, it's a movie, you make me think of people who sit and watch a movie just to pick out every single detail to make it shit. Also reminds me of one of those anti-government people who think every movie is trying to brainwash us into being or believing something that's not real. Why not enjoy the movie for what's in it and how it was made? I totally disagree with him, there could have been minor improvements, but it in no way was a totally dumb movie. You even compared it to Team America at the end, which has no point at all in that review, and makes me think you were just trying to look comedical and intelligent in that entire review, but the Team America part gave you away.

Raymond From BorDumB (who is too lazy to get a screen name) says:

Dude, I am just saying that it wasn't as good as people are saying it is... At least I didn't just say, "it sucked lol" or "it was shit lmao!" I tried to give some justification...sorry if that's a little bit over your head...It's not like it took hours to type that. Maybe 7 minutes tops. Maybe next time I should just be a moron and say it sucked without incorporating reason or logic...

Maybe, because your reasons made you sound like a total conformist, it had shit like "THEY'RE TRYING TO MAKE US BE GREAT FATHERS" how is that justifing how the movie sucked? I mean, seriously?

I respect your opinion, but honestly dude, it was shit.
