SONY HAS been rather excited to tell us all that they’ve licensed the technology for the Unreal 3 engine from developers Epic Games. Through this agreement Sony Computer Entertainment Inc (SCEI) gets full sublicensing rights for the game engine and its development tools effective from 20th July 2005.
This means that we’ll be seeing the PlayStation 3 hardware pushed to the max, as the engine is one of the most advanced currently on the market, featuring a programmable shaders tool, physics engine, and GUI based physics attribution tool, along with various other tools, such as scenario development, movie scene development, animation and particle animation tools.
The most significant among these engines and tools are the programmable shaders. By effectively using this technology, developers will be able to reproduce photo-realistic images without going through a complicated calculation process.
A wealth of tools contained in the Unreal Engine 3 framework will enable developers to create content to a certain level without requiring specialist programming skills. An evaluation version of the Unreal Engine 3 will now become available for the PS3 developer community together with the Software Development Kit for the PS3. Frontline support will be provided by SCEI as opposed to Epic.

No they said they wern't making any more gta's. They are going to make one on the psp and maby an rpg type one on the next gen system but not like the old ones.

Kool, looking forward to it. Did you play Fable or any other rpg's for xBox ? I'm hoping they bring out a new fable or atleast something very similer I loved that game.

I like RPG's but I can't stand the Final Fantasy games or any other games that have the same play style ... where there is one screen and one charicter for traveling but another "battle" screen with your whole party. It's not the way you change from screen to screen that I don't like its the way each charicter of the battlescreen takes it in turn to attack. It slows it all down and takes all the fun out of the game.

There is a new Fable being worked on. I only enjoy rpgs if they are real time and not turn based IE: KOTOR, Jade Empire, Fable, most mmos

there are way more PS fan boys than Xbox fanboys
I wouldnt have even had half as much hate for PS if it wernt for my mate who is a devoted PS fanboy...all he did for a week prior to 360s release was slag it off...he wont actually even come round to mine to play it...he refuses to admit its any good Image file not present in the recovered backup

Thats your opinion...but think about it...without the ability to play pre-owned games...who is going to spend £50 on a game you cant do jack shit with in a weeks time
