I didn't realize they already released the trailer for this but what do you guys think? By the looks of it, it doesn't bring anything new to the series and looks just like any other modern horror movie. But it is Jason and it's kind of badass when they show him standing in the woods by the shore, and the whole Camp Crystal Lake setting looks like in the original. But I think they should've done (and here's to hoping) what Rob Zombie did with his Halloween and made it all dark with a discomforting ending to make it stand out somehow.. Well maybe this will end up like that who knows.

in before robzombie'shalloweensuckedass. Anyways discuss whether you think it will suck or not.

edit: while on summer camp subject, has anyone seen Return to Sleepaway Camp that came out this year?

Rob Zombie's Halloween was pimp in my opinion.

Yeah I liked it too. Mostly because everything turned shitty for everyone at the end which was refreshing haha

right when I saw it, I was like, looks like the new Texas chainsaw massacre with a new killer, the way it was filmed and such reminded me of it.

Sure enough, made by the same people so I assume a similar movie, although I liked the new TCSM so it should be alright I guess.

I loved Rob Zombie's revamp of Halloween.

I'm super psyched to see this movie, as Jason is my favorite horror character of all time. The trailer is so sick. It's looking like Jason won't be the always-walking, slow, killer as before. He be runnin' and killin' bitches yo. Michael Bay directed it too, which is a plus. Texas Chainsaw Massacre, anyone? I read a pretty good article about this trailer the other day, check it out:

And while we're on the topic of new horror's:

Jason's easily my fave horror character (Well, besides ash), but I must admit to being kinda underwhelmed by the trailer of this new one... I mean, at least it's not Jason X or anything but still... Just seems to be a modern update, nothing more.

Michael Bay directed it too, which is a plus.

Marcus Nispel directed this film, its produced by Bay.
Same guy as Texas Chainsaw Remake, which I thought was ok, not as good as Halloween remake.

Which means if Bay had his way it'l have a fuck load of CGI and explosions in the film....

anyway, the trailer looked pretty cool, except for when the girl goes "what are you doing" and gets hit by the boat.. MOVE BITCH!!! for fuck sake. Makes me think the film might be filled with stupidity and really annoy me, esp as I do love a good horror film.

Nonetheless, il watch it when it comes out :)

Freddy is one of my favorite movie villains so I'm pretty psyched for the new Elm Street film too, and not to mention the new Evil Dead while we were on the Ash subject. Except it's still unknown if Ash will be a character in it, which I really hope he will..

So, I went to a screening of this last friday

HUGE jason fan, I plan on putting a jason mask tat next to my freddy glove tat.

This movie was pretty horrible

Without giving too much away..

Jason runs,
Uses traps like Rambo
Has a weed farm and underground house of 1000 corpses tunnels.

Kills weren't creative.

I was a sad horror nerd

Whats the point of the weed farm may I ask? And this Jason sounds shit

For some reason a very large area of weed bushes has grown outside the camp, a bunch of teens go to harvest it and as soon as they touch it jason is there to kill half of them offscreen.

There is no other explanation to his weed farm other then people find it, get greedy and die.

Yeah, it pisses me off when they ruin horror films. Like any zombie movie where they run. Anyone making that movie who thought it was a better idea than the traditional zombie is a fucking idiot.

People bashing this movie when they haven't even seen it.

Leroy, I've seen this movie last night and I thought it was great. I liked it A LOT better then Jason X so I dunno.

Yes, Sex scenes and A LOT of boobs in it.

I say this was a great jason movie. Better then the remake of Halloween IMO.

Other than what Leroy said, I've read good reviews.

Alex: Have you seen the original Night of the Living Dead? Zombies run, my friend. The whole horror of zombies is the fact that they're the monster closest to being a human. Only a bite away or so. Having them run makes the experience even scarier.

I guess his talking bout' the extremely fast zombies in Dawn Of The Dead or the infected in 28 days later.

In Night, they were pretty violent but still kinda slow.
