I've been thinking about starting a blog-type site for a while and I think I want to go ahead and do it. I think it would be better to have two or three more authors on the site, especially on topics I have no intention of writing about. I think it would make the site more well-rounded. Having more people contributing would mean more updates as well, so everyone wouldn't have to feel obligated to post everyday. If you're having trouble grasping the idea, think Zaid's idea of Vokab, but not falling through. Each writer would have their own account and profile. We could do pictures and/or videos of the day to grow a fan base.
These are all ideas. Instead of working, I think of shit like this all day. I'd like to hear people's ideas.
Oh, my idea for a domain is sp0ken.com

27 November 2008, 02:28 UTC#2
So many sites out there already do shit like this. Unless you got something unique to offer its a fail idea. Whats you plans?
27 November 2008, 02:37 UTC#3
Well I don't care too much about popularity, but if it comes I won't complain. I just want a place where I can write shit. Not in a journal, bitch about my life, style though.
This chick in my public speaking class just gave a speech about blogging and it kinda gave me the itch. She's a mom who writes about her child, and somehow she has a pretty big fan base. She gets sent free shit to review, too.
I figured if that boring shit can get popular, a blog by me and some people from here couldn't fail.
27 November 2008, 02:45 UTC#4
I'd help write shit. def.
27 November 2008, 02:47 UTC#5
I'm interested to write some useless shit if you need it.
Not sure if my writing style is what you're looking for however. Writing reviews for Zaid's site was good for a while, but I don't watch too much TV, movies or play games, so it got difficult to come up with something.
I tend to type about meaningless topics and can be offensive and/or negative at times, so if you that's what you want, I'm keen.
If not, I hope it goes well.
27 November 2008, 02:55 UTC#6
That's actually a plus. It'd be better, I think, if we weren't writing about the same music/movies/events that every other blog would already be writing about.
and <3 adem.

Josh, you know I'm down to help you out with this. I'd love to contribute to anything you want.
Oh yeah, and Vokab was sort of fun, but I was sort of disenfranchised by the idea once I found out Zaid stole the name from Matt. And the fact that he's not all that interesting of a person really held me back.
27 November 2008, 03:30 UTC#8
I watch a lot of good indie films that no one really knows about, and I play pretty much any video game. soooooooooo, I could write good shit.
27 November 2008, 03:33 UTC#9
I rather liked vokab
personally I think the site name you got now is kidna shit, but I mean regardless of if I said something positive or if I said something negative here, you were going to flame me anyways. I just rather say what I feel, and I feel the domain name is shit, but other then that I look forward to seeing you(s) do this.

why ray? WHY!?!
Vokab is in its last bit of testing and is being re-launched soon, so maybe a combined effort Yates?
27 November 2008, 04:16 UTC#13
Well, Zaid, your online/web presence doesn't make me think, "Wow, that's a guy I'd love to do work for!"
Josh however, is that kind of person.
27 November 2008, 04:51 UTC#14
I don't want to compete with Vokab by no means (I'd win though), but at the same time, it looks like we have different aims. Maybe if we compare our ideas, we could see if a merge would be possible or not. One plus, out of the blue, is that you know programming and stuff, while I know shit. I would want just as much control over the site as Zaid though.
So is it a consensus that no one likes the name "sp0ken"?
Oh, and Vokab is a co.uk domain. BOOOOOOOOOO.

Well, let me know if and when you need anything.

I'd definitely contribute to a blog if you're looking for writers. I reckon it's a great idea.

what happened to yours?
27 November 2008, 11:10 UTC#28
Haha, the one I had on my own, Trix Are For Kids, kinda died out because I started one that was basically the same thing, but with my girlfriend. I still plan on continuing that one.
No reason I can't write for two blogs

Shouldn't you have another shell that symbolizes your other blog?
