as mono said I didnt pay for a mega upload version, I paid for the physical disc with the content on it, packaged in a disk case with the sleeve

he's one of a few people who have seen my games and film collection and how I have multiple copies of the same game or film.. if I enjoy something I quite often buy remakes, rehashes, special editions and re-edits.. I'd like the original version of no shame.. and I maybe inclined to buy the re-edit

just because he decided to change it before sending your copy out.

So Alex from MIA showed me this video at our hangout and I was ridiculously dissapointed. I'm sorry to be a dick like this but I usually like FMS's stunts, and was looking forward to fresh footage, as a matter of fact, I thought this dvd was going to end homegrown due to how much it kills everything ever done. HA! First off, the length of time this video took and the hype and buildup surrounding it alone kills the dvd but lets get specific.

This dvd had no dvd exclusive footage:
probably 99% (no exageration) of this dvd content I had seen online or saw a screenshot of and heard it talked about. why buy a dvd if you've already seen everything in it?

Edit the dvd?:
Most of the editing gone into this dvd (for the length of time it took to make one or put one out) was already edited for an internet trailer or clip. (maybe it was a poorly edited for-purchase-only take home trailer being as I've seen the website URL more times than I can count.. if you have the dvd... wouldn't you know the groups website? Or it would be on the package (which... the lack of packaging due to inability to distribute product or a full packaged content alone is a gripe of is own)

A Freak Inc. Video:
Should have freak inc. stunts and/or you should know who freak inc is after/while watching it! Almost every stunt or all the footage seemed to be done by other people or groups. but I guess I can't say, because the presented footage and film didn't really let me know who or what freak inc is (but hey.. I can get to their website!)

Fan Videos:
Take up about 10 minutes of the dvd, are usually boring and drawn out (or maybe even the coolest parts of the video, which is definitely a bad statement about the host project...), have been seen before, or have better editing than the whole dvd itself! once again, severely overshown footage copy and pasted onto a dvd. make it a bonus section if anything, you've made enough eager fans and friends on here that are capable and would help you I'm sure.

So yeah, I think freak inc is a good group. Do I think they get too much credit? yes.
Basically, if I bought this dvd I would be really dissapointed... well actually I didn't and I am! (he does ask twice, "why did you buy this? "which is kind of funny because thats what I was asking alex!). If you want to see the freak inc dvd, watch all the online releases and fan videos, its the exact same footage copy and pasted together.

Al, fair enough that this was your first go at a dvd, but like I said before, with the time you spend making it, the connections im sure you have with editors in the scene, and the ridiculous amount of hype surrounding the dvd, I'd be embarassed if I had only this to show for it. Sure the content is good... most of it is just ALRIGHT but why make a dvd? its already all out there for everyone, I read you say that after this you probably wont do stunts anymore, which is too bad because it seems like you're one of the more ballsier guys out there and you have fresh ideas, thus you could possibly make a really good film thats worth watching, redeem yourself somehow, cause someone said that your life is homegrown and you live and breath it, I share that and admire that, but after watching the video I have to question it severly!
