Right. They don't pay because they don't have to, cause there's a dozen shitheads on here who will sign over everything they got just for a shot at being on TV.

Half of their show is gonna be made of footage that comes from this forum. Anyone ever consider working together as a community? So that together you can negotiate rates? Without you, they don't have a show. That gives you leverage.

There are plenty of shitter groups who would do it for free who aren't on here.

If push comes to shove, they'll take what they can get for free.

You have to stop and think for a second. The camera operator alone who will be filming the interviews will probably getting over £200 a day just to film the groups. So why would the groups not be getting money?

Then they would have a pretty show I would imagine.

This is a lot like that time I introduced 5 or 6 groups on here to a dude wanting to license content for his new site. He initially was paying $300/clip which is pretty decent for a simple non exclusive deal. But then someone started spreading the word around and about dozen groups bombarded the guy with emails wanting to sale their footage. When the supply outweighs the demand, rates go down. And then groups started undercutting each other by offering to sell their footage for even less than the other.

That guy had a ton of money to spend. A lot of people on here could've made over $2,000 if you didn't undercut each other and all that shit.

Just an example of how when you don't work together, you don't make shit.

Anyway the point is, all these companies have money. They're just playing you, trying to get what they want for free. If everyone tells em to pay up or fuck off, they'll change their tone. And if they don't, big loss.

At the end of the day though, if people value what comes from them being on TV over the money they could make, might just be worth letting them make their own mistakes.

I wouldn't be the person to fork over all our stuff or anything either though. But if there's a particular clip, let 'em have it. Just a cool sight to see really. Especially if you're allowed to mention your group name. That's why we when with Extreme Bumming declined MTV True Life. They were focusing specifically on Kevin having an internet life because of our site, the web mastering he does for another, AND the fact that he works on a webcam porn site. At first we were going to be able to mention EB and show some stuff and then they just started turning it into Kevin being this huge porn star and he's like "fuck you guys then." Cause he's doing it right now until he gets his first job out of college with a cable company or something similar. He just finished his film program at college. And he just didn't want to be seen the way they wanted to portray him.

I think people are too pussy to ask for money and turn down deals that don't benefit them financially.
