I took a look through all your reply’s. My contact at bullseye is David Cornwall, he and eye have been speaking about World of stupid 2 over the last month and he has instructed me to find the crews for world of stupid 2 and if all goes to plan I will be the new producer of world of stupid along with the bullseye production team.

As I said in the other thread, this guy I have met once in person. He moved from NZ to Sydney and wanted to catch up for a chat and let me know what he's keen to get in to..

I can corroborate that he is a real person, and that he is talking to the right guy from Bullseye over in the UK but thats the only info I know. I dont know anything about the deal he's got, details of the second season or rock solid agreements etc.

he said he'd reply next week(fully). im pretty sure its end of work week for everyone, so yeah no one wants to work replying to emails and what not on the weekend.

I've worked with this guy before, He'll definitely contact everyone back, He got us free tickets and backstage passes to H.I.M, true to his word, although the project we were working on fell through. He has a few contacts that could definitely prove beneficial to anyone looking to get their name out there, He didn't give me the impression of being a Moody.

I'm hoping so. I'd really love for this to go through for us.

Promo? What, being on TV while sporting a shirt that says your groups name? Getting a 2 second credit at the end of a show?

and then what... ten thousand hits to your website? DVD sales through the roof?

You could be on international television with 50 million viewers watching and it still wont amount to shit.

Your videos arent gold. They arent worth thousands. But they are worth something, up until you give them away for free.

Alot of people are cool being a part of something. Whether or not it makes them zomgfamous isn't really an issue, but when you wanna think about what your group accomplished then it's definately something worthy.

Beyond money and fame it doesn't exactly damage.

I myself think it would be a great opertunity and a kinda personal accomplishment, Im not bothered about getting paid or not, just having that Ive been on tv under my belt is good enough.

Also surely people posting videos on the internet is like giving stuff away for free?

I guess when you don't have to worry about money there is very little else you can wish to gain other than personal satisfaction.

Ok, so they arent paying, they have said this up front.

Now I can say "Pay me or no footage" Then they say, "Many other groups are interested and will do it for free, peace out"

So now I have no money, and no exposure.

World of stupid focuses on one group and does an episode on them, so its a tad bit more then one of us wearing a no mercy shirt.

Am I saying always do shit for free? No. If they can offer you money, then yeah go for it.

However to not do something because you wont get paid can be very foolish, you could miss out on a great opportunity.

We have done alot of professional stunt stuff for free and very cheap, however the footage that comes out of it looks great in our show reel and we make great contacts who hook us up with paying gigs down the road.

Contacts and exposure can lead to great things. Dont pass on them just because someone doesnt toss a few hundred dollars your way.

are leroy and I the only amarican groups that got replys?

We gotsa reply, but we're canadian, what other canadian groups around hgf??? Casual Heroes and SPDST, is all that comes to my head.
