Yeah just posting we just spent a little over $2000 on gear, we ordered a Sony hdr hc1, to film along side our year old hdr hc3, and also just ordered a macbook with 2 gigs of ram for editing higher quality video(hdv) then normal, and yeah just posting this. And will torrent some good editing program.
Others feel free to post your set ups/new gear on this topic and whatnot.

In terms of camera and editing my company owns a vx2100e, and a canon xl-h1. ALong side A G5 kitted out and final cut.

nice! $2000 and u got all that, works out pretty nice, macbook with 2gb or ram in uk about $1200 alone!
